Lucy is completely blind and has a chromosome 16 duplication, which is a rare condition affecting mental health with autism traits and affecting overall communication. Lucy is hyper-mobile and suffers with CVS. She is in remission from bi-lateral retina-blastoma and is globally developmentally delayed. However, it's by using this natural talent that she's able to communicate. Her musical story began at the age of 5 years old when she first played Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. The family then upgraded her keyboard and realised she was composing music in her head while sitting on the sofa. Lucy was able to play back music after listening to it just once.

Her mind must be in a complete mediative state when she plays. When her fingers touch the piano her mind taps into a higher dimension, and I'm so glad she can share a small fraction of that world with us. Music is so amazing!

Her teacher is with every note every moment like he is using all his energy to propel her forward. He is wonderful.
