In March 2020, near the Strait of Gibraltar, a group of fishermen faced terror when orcas surrounded their boat. Initially, the crew was fascinated, but their curiosity turned to horror as the orcas began ramming the boat. Each hit sent shudders through the hull, targeting the rudder, making steering impossible. The men shouted in panic, sending out mayday signals, but with each passing minute, the boat took on more water. By the time the coast guard arrived, the boat was partially submerged, and one fisherman had been thrown overboard and was never found.

What do you think is the reason for the increase in orca attacks?

This is very strong evidence that they are ten times smarter than we ever imagined, not just smarter but living up to their namesake.

I love how someone can be totally alone in the middle of nowhere and yet someone gives a fully detailed description of not only of what happened, but also all the person thought and did, before never being found again⁉ 🤔😒

Its more than a rudder fascination if they're sinking boats of all sizes and people are coming up missing. Appears they're using the same skill set they use on seals floating on an iceberg.

These animals are extremely intelligent. They have been killed, abused, and many separated for entertainment purposes, and they can associate boats with being responsible. I truly believe they are telling us that it is time to leave them alone! They are majestic creatures, but humans have mistreated them for years. Let's respect their space in the oceans and seas.

These Orca's are intelligent creatures. And they are very upset with humans for some reason.

Orcas know how rudders work, they have three of them. Plus they know there's food onboard. You keep saying missing, you mean eaten.

I think intelligent animals of the sea are sick of what we are doing to their ocean.

They are tired of our crap, and I don't blame them.

Starvation creates unfortunate behavior. We’ve overfished our oceans for 75 years or more. It’s time for a moratorium

In my very humble opinion and just from what they are doing, I think they are trying to let us know that they have had enough from dealing with the noise from the motors ....I think they have been harassed enough, slaughtered enough and had to witness the un-timely demise of many Calves....the sooner many realise that they don't have the right to do as they please and expect everything to run smoothly, the better for them.... people have a terrible entitlement problem!!

It’s interesting that there seems to always be one missing sailor/passenger.

I wonder if that is some kind of communication? Warning?

Like, “we could have killed you all, don’t come back on our turf”

When Orcas attack is because of a dwindling fish population because of over-fishing, so they blame humans for it, and attack boats.
