Insane how they have never attacked humans except for in captivity which honestly... is the humans own fault.

4:06 the fact that it’s swimming upside down and still keeping pace is super funny yet extremely impressive at the same time

Orcas are such beautiful creatures. Also I had no clue they were that fast... it was keeping up with that boat like it was a game.

“Food?”
“Naw, humans.”
“But human’s are crunchy!”
“They’re bad for your teeth Bobby.”

I know there has never been a recorded killer whale attack on humans in the wild but I would shit myself if that happened to me while kayaking..

Even though they were using the boats' wake to their advantage, the fact that they could keep up with ease for so long is amazing. They truly are the masters of the seas.

The last one is magical... You cannot deny the intelligence of these animals. And the fact that they play is also an indication of that.

People in boat: “They’re still keeping up!”

Orcas: “Yeah, we can do this for hours.”

The last one is so sad. That whale is Luna, and she was abandoned by her pod in the Puget Sound. She was so lonely that she would seek out human interaction. Everyone was told to stay away from her because if she got too comfortable with humans it would lead to her own harm, but of course who can resist an adorable Orca that wants to be friends. In the end, she was hit and killed by a boat because she didn't know to stay away. :(

those orcas following that boat with ease flipping in and out of the water on their sides and backs is one of the most amazing videos i've ever seen in my life... majestic beings

I remember reading that the encounter at 5:48 was one of the largest pods ever seen. The last one is an orca people named Luna. Very very sad story because he got really lonely after getting separated from his pod so it sought human companionship[p. The only thing it loved more than hanging out with people was making friends with dogs. Several videos showing Luna bobbing up and down as it interacted with dogs. Nitwits claimed Luna saw the dogs as prey, but several vantage points indicated the dogs were within striking distance as Luna bounced up and down. It's the companionship it had with people is what got it killed by the props of a tugboat. Absolutely heart breaking.

I didn't know they were so fast and had such powerful stamina and endurance!! The Orcas chasing that motorboat were going full steam for a really long while!! Amazing animals.... :)

Bro Orcas are genuinely terrifying, but they're also insanely smart, would be awesome of you could talk with them.

That nervous laugh from the lady in the first clip. She was half expecting to die, I guarantee it 😂

An animal strong enough to keep up with a speeding boat while playfully swimming upside down. Definitely not me laughing when I'm in the water with it.

The last one is one of the craziest things I've seen on the internet. My jaw was hanging open the entire time. The vocalizations are so complex that it sounds like language. Remarkably gentle and precise in its behavior too. They're fascinating animals. That was a privilege to watch.

Beautiful animals. We have to wonder how intelligent they are with all the history of helping fishermen that fallen overboard while fishing at sea to the encounters you see in the video there are to many to mention. I use to be a fisherman in Newfoundland and I always found having humpback whales around was reassuring with the elements. They were our company sometimes and always welcomed.
