After this voyage, the Nautilus was never seen or heard from again. This is the last known footage. That dang vampire got them

The absolute quality of this is so astounding. It looks computer generated

It almost looks fake like some 3D animation. Now just imagine all the creatures down there we haven't discovered.

Fun fact: Vampire squid are not squid or octopus at all. They belong in a class all their own (Vampyromorphida), and these are the only one of their family, as the rest have gone extinct. Yeah...I know a lot about this animal, because it's my favorite of cephalopods lol.

I love the synchronised 'wooow' at the beginning haha

I'm really sad. I didn't realize vampire squids are the last extant species of a cephalopod order.

A ballerina dancing in the deep . So pretty! I shall now go draw, I’ve been inspired. Thanks

I absolutely love how the start is just all of them admiring its looks at the same time. It's a cacophony of "so pretty, so shiny"

Have you noticed how some of the squid species, when they inflate & spread out their tentacles, look like opened umbrellas? I think the makers of bespoke umbrellas should make a squid brolly, with the top exterior part being the rounded body of the squid, some of the colour combinations are wonderful & i for one would certainly buy a squid brolly.

They are so hypnotizing to watch. You just have to appreciate how truly beautiful they are.

One of the most elegant creatures I've ever seen, and the music accents the video perfectly. You edit music well into your videos. It could be easy to go overboard with music to where it distracts, but the music simply elevates the mood more subtly :) Funny how something that looks so sleek and well evolved like this goes after marine snow!

Nature inspires art, and this was nothing short of a natural, awe-inspiring dance performance. Art begets more art, so I'm going to draw a screenshot of this one day.
