Thank you for the very nice pictures in the latest recap video. Boris you are much stronger than the seafarers you mentioned, because they were not alone, but you are. I am sure all sailors in the world can empathize with the situation and admire you. You will reach your personal goal and that is to come to Le Sable d'Olonne.

Hi Boris, ich bin begeistert von der Vendee Globe und Deinem Rennen. Vor 38 Jahren war ich als Windsurfer bei der Speedweek in Brest, auch eine Art Vorläufer zu späteren Rennen. Damals kam ich zum ersten Mal in Kontakt mit großen schnellen Trimaranen. Eben sah ich Louis Burton's Video von seiner Drohne als er zu Dir flog. Es ist schon unfassbar dass nach fast 25.000 sm eine solche Nähe zwischen fünf Schiffen auf Augenkontakt herrscht. Ich wünsche Dir weiter eine so gute Hand und Glück wie bisher, Gesundheit und ein stabiles Boot bis ins Ziel. Enjoy your Coffee in the sun....Du schaffst das, halte durch und gib Gas soweit es geht, ich sehe sehr gute Chancen auf eine absolute Top-Platzierzng wenn alles weitgehend heil bleibt.

Vor einiger Zeit auf ARTE gab es eine Sendung.
Ich weiss nicht mehr wer es war, aber ziemlich lange her wanderte ein Europäer durch eine afrikanische Wüste. Ganz allein.
Und eines Tages (Nachts) als er die Dünen und Sterne wieder ansah, durchdringte ihn ein seltsames Gefühl: auf einmal wurde ihm bewusst, dass er nie allein sein wird.


Viel Glück, weiter so.
Nur noch Neuseeland, dann "paar meilen" Stillen Ozean und ab nach Hause ;-)
