Day – 145

Chapter 08 – śloka 07:
तस्मात्सर्वेषु कालेषु मामनुस्मर युध्य च ।
मय्यर्पितमनोबुद्धिः मामेवैष्यस्यसंशयः ॥

tasmātsarveṣu kāleṣu māmanusmara yudhya ca ।
mayyarpitamanobuddhiḥ māmevaiṣyasyasaṁśayaḥ ॥

Word by Word Meaning:
tasmāt – therefore;
sarveṣu – at all;
kāleṣu – times;
mām – Me;
anusmara – constantly remember;
yudhya – fight;
ca – and;
mayi – to Me;
arpita – fixed or surrendered;
manaḥ – mind;
buddhiḥ – intellect;
mām – Me;
eva – alone;
eṣyasi – you shall attain;
asaṁśayaḥ – undoubtedly;

Chapter 08 – śloka 08:
अभ्यासयोगयुक्तेन चेतसा नान्यगामिना ।
परमं पुरुषं दिव्यं याति पार्थानुचिन्तयन् ॥

abhyāsayogayuktena cetasā nānyagāminā ।
paramaṁ puruṣaṁ divyaṁ yāti pārthānucintayan ॥

Word by Word Meaning:
abhyāsa-yoga – yoga of practice;
yuktena – engaged in;
cetasā – with the mind;
na – not;
anya – other;
gāminā – distracted;
paramam – the Supreme;
puruṣam – the Lord;
divyam – divine or resplendent;
yāti – attains;
pārtha – O son of Prtha (Arjuna);
anucintayan – constantly thinking;

Explanation (śloka 07 & 08):
In these verses, Krishna urges Arjuna to be immersed in God-consciousness while doing his duty of fighting the war. Krishna teaches that every spiritual seeker must fulfil his worldly duties while being completely devoted to God. Through dedicated practice and steadfastness in yoga, the seeker can eventually attain God.

Meaning (śloka 07):
Therefore, constantly remember Me at all times, and fight. With the mind and intellect surrendered to Me, you shall undoubtedly attain Me alone.

Meaning (śloka 08):
O son of Prtha (Arjuna), engaged in the yoga of practice, with the mind not distracted by anything else by constantly thinking of the Lord, one attains the resplendent Supreme.
