As a New Zealander, I only just found out about this watching this! Seems its for pest control as they are destroying land? Also targeted ferrets and possums, more pest species here destroying our native birds and animals. Not sure about the bunnies, but I know the others are a real issue as they will cause our native birds to become extinct. Especially our Kiwi, as it cant fly, so easy prey!!!
I am not an advocate of hunting at all, but these pest animals were introduced many years ago and are destroying native animals and plants, so how does this fit in activist circles. Do we just let the native animals go extinct? Tough situation.
