My wife is a cancer survivor and also has lupus. We both work full time and are still struggling really bad to pay the bills. Faking something like this to get handed money is such a slap in the face to those of us actually struggling and fighting every single day literally to survive each day.

I had my business partner tell another coworker that I probably don’t even have cancer, after she learned of my diagnosis. I worked 5 years with her with anemia, at the time didn’t know I had colon cancer and was weak as hell, And then finally had to quit. This boils my blood.

Faking cancer should be a crime in itself ! I have sickle cell disease and leukemia(cancer) and what this lady did was disgusting!

I am a general psychiatrist and I have two coworkers who are forensic psychiatrists. The reason why Amanda C. Riley is so fascinating and scary is because she has both antisocial personality disorder and narcissistic personality disorder (often known as a “narcissistic sociopath”). That combination truly is the worst as they’re not your typical run-of-the-mill criminal. This type gets away with crimes far more often.

At their core they truly don’t believe they are doing anything wrong because of a delusional sense of being superior to others. They feed off of power and control. You canNOT change them only rarely do they want to get help for themselves and the best thing anyone can do is stay as far away as possible from them as they can. It’s sad she only received a 5 year sentence.

My closest girlfriend that I grew up with died from breast cancer at 32 years old. She had a toddler and a baby. She was in so much pain right up until she died. She cried and made me promise that I would always check on her children after she was gone to make sure they were ok.😢

Amanda’s brother in a Washington Post interview said, "Our family struggled last Fall when Amanda finally told us all the truth, " he wrote. "But thru our anger, we still see the light in her and have seen the Hell she has been through that we wouldn't wish on anyone." Meh! Hell is what families of true cancer victims go through! His family is just embarrassed of his sister, but have kept enabling her. Plain and simple. Ty TCD for your podcasts!

I’ve lost 4 family members to cancer one of those being my mom. I took care of her and to watch her pain and suffering was so hard. She cried after treatments not knowing how she was going to pay for the next treatment. For someone to do this is a slap in the face to real cancer patients and survivors.

I dated a woman who told not only me, but her employer and co-workers she was fighting cancer. She even had me drive her to hospitals out of state for treatment. She even said that she was told to enjoy the time she had left. She was a total liar. She was never sick. She did it to be the center of attention. If go fund me was around at the time she would have been there too. Sadly, there are more people who are just as slimy as Amanda.

If you are thinking you won’t listen to the podcast because you already know the whole story you do not. I listedend to the first 2 episodes and it is insane, I would be shocked if Netflix did not do a show about it. Thank you

As a cancer survivor and a hospice nurse people like her infuriates me. They have no clue what it is to be told you have cancer and have to tell your family, especially your children. When I was diagnosed it was one of the most horrifying conversation I have had in my life even as a nurse that you have cancer and we need to start treatments right away before it spreads. My surgeon advised me that I needed to talk to my family and have my children come home. My oldest child was away at college and I was able to get them home to tell in person but my youngest child was in the military and was not able to come home due to training exercise that was going on at the time so they had to be told over the phone on FaceTime. To watch your children fighting back their tears and seeing how scared they were is for ever ingrained in my memory. My husband was strong but terrified he held it together for me and the kids. As a cancer survivor I feel she needs to be brought up on charges and spend jail time, repay all money back with interest. Then when released from prison she needs to be made to do community service at cancer centers or hospice facilities and watch the physically and emotionally turmoil of what the patients as well as their families go through. There is a place in hell for people like her.

After battling stage 4 colon cancer and stage 3 stomach cancer, I lost everything I worked for my entire life. I ended up living in a camper full time due to the financial hardships that followed and from which I am still trying to recover many years later. As a survivor who has struggled to scratch and crawl my way out of poverty due to my illness, I resent the hell out of people like her. Anyone who could do this while others truly suffer and fight to stay alive deserves the worse punishment possible. What an insult to TRUE SURVIVORS.

My dad has had prostate cancer for 13.5 yrs. Dad is 83 yrs and went in for his 6mo biopsy. The Dr. took 12 biopsy samples. His follow appointment on the biopsy Tuesday May 23, 2023 showed ZERO cancer 🙏🏼

Is it a miracle? I think so. I’m so happy the cancer has hit the road.

My husband and I watched the first episode of this last week. Mind blowing!! And I can’t help but feel compelled to say how very sorry I am for true cancer fighters out here and even more so for those who have fought and succumbed to this horrid disease. God bless you. 🙏🏼

As someone with stage 4 cancer (went to brain in 2020), this makes me sick! The financial burden is worse than the cancer sometimes. There were times when I had 1 full time job and 2 pt jobs. This is just gross to me. Love you Ana. You are a light in my world. xoxox Sharon

Cancer survivor here and this makes my blood boil. What a disgusting thing to fake. It's a mockery to those of us who actually went thru this battle.

As someone battling stage 4 colon cancer (my dad also battled stage 4 colon cancer), this is sickening. She's from my city which hits even closer to home. Cancer is horrible and it's disgusting that people fake having it for personal gain.

What is so terrible is now people will be hesitant to help real cancer patients that need support
