I quit being a landlord years ago. Tenants didnt pay rent, answer calls, take out the garbage, didn't answer the door even when i can see and hear them inside

Government should never under any circumstances be allowed to interfere in a private contract such as a lease. It’s unconstitutional, and rightly so. If they wanted to help renters they should have helped renters directly. As it is it looks like a deliberate assault on private property rights.

Waiting for over 3 months of one year of housing and utilities for two roommates. The agencies are not being efficient. My one roommate has not completed verifying his income with the agency although he has had over three reminders. Why verify renters income? If they didn’t be pay the landlord the money is due to the landlord.
