Do you really think you possess a fine knowledge in History?

History has to be told from no one's perspective. History is all about facts- clean and raw, so that we can learn from our mistakes.

Once kalhana said, "write the history like a judge without bias"

I respectfully disagree. She isn't staying neutral, she's instead favouring one pov over the other. I believe the best way to tackle this would be teaching both perspectives, comparitive studies and further discussions. Studying history from any one pov is murdering history.

Instead of reading history from someone's point of view. We should read history from both ends and understand what it is exactly. If we read something from someone's point of view, we make the wrong assumptions.

Not only from Maharana Pratap's view
Children need to be aware of both sides of the coin to avoid brainwashing and hatred for a particular community
They should be aware that one wins in power struggle but millions of lives looses

Edit: My intention was not to favour Mughals destroying Hindu temples and palaces.I only wish that in the modern world all communities live in peace and harmony.Any good and bad events happened to any community should be out and open, and we should be compassionate for other's grievances and learn to protect our community and respect others too.

As an history teacher I believe history should not be taught to arouse the emotions. World has witnessed enough hatred already

As an 8th grader studying in ssc maharashtra board school following the balbharati textbooks. I have noticed one common thing in my history book that the writers of the book have used multiple adjectives to define the great valour of Shivaji, Maharana Pratap and other Maratha icons but no words for the mughals. Also i remember very well that in 5th std in my history textbook there was a whole page devoted for the picture of Shahaji Maharaj's portrait a whole 24 cm × 15 cm page just for a picture
But even tho Aurangzeb has been mentioned in my textbooks since the past many years there wasn't a single picture of him in any textbooks.... It truly saddens me How we are just so obsessed about ourselves and our successes never acknowledge other great heroes sacrifices and this is coming from a 13 year old

I guess we should be told history from neutral point of view
Neither from akbar nor from maharaja Rana pratab point of view
In that way we can understand history more purely 😊

She'll never reply to the comments which ask her about being biased toward a single crowd and creating unnecessary fights,
Instead she'll pin short comment where her zombies will attack the comment writer!

Even Sikh history is just a small paragraph in our history books, while a lot of battles were fought and sacrifices were made by Sikh leaders to protect Hindus and Sikhs against Mughal emperors

We do not need right wing or left wing, we just need real history. We indians are literally biased people.
