It does not matter if sengol was made 75 yrs . It is still symbolic of Indian tradition and culture . So the significance of sengol is in no way belittled.

Congratulations to us the citizens of India... We just got a KING ruling over us! 😂
What an emphatic statement, not to invite The President and The Vice-president to the ceremony. The first citizen of the country is NOT a part of the ceremony. All the lights and camera on one photophile person.
Happy Democracy to The first citizen (President) and the last citizen (Common man/woman) of India! ❤❤❤

One big correction, it wasn't considered a symbol of power tranfer by nehru or the Congress party. It was accepted as a gift by nehru along with hundreds of other gifts. Yes, it may have been considered as a power tranfer symbol by the people who gifted it.
Also, a big correction it wasn't a power tranfer from the British. It was indias independence, and the freedom grabbed from the British.

Nehruji never asked anyone to make sengol as a gesture of power transfer.

Infact during his visit to south India it was gifted to him.

He never took sengol to Delhi, instead he kept it in Anand Bhawan in UP, which is a museum. The reason is that its a symbol of Monarchy and feudalism.

And after independence India became democratic country. Peoples rule.

Small correction, it's not "திரு-வாடு-துறை", it's actually "திரு-வா-வடு-துறை"
