Most of the movie was filmed on Weymouth beach in Dorset, England, only a few scenes were filmed at Dunkirk

I absolutely LOVED this movie!! This event took place BEFORE the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I was very vague about the events of WWII before the US got involved. I did see the movie Mrs. Miniver but was unsure when that timeline took place.
I feel Dunkirk, Mrs. Miniver and The Darkest Hour helped me to come full circle in the understanding of WWII before the US got involved.
As a HS student, we learned about the events of WWII from December 1941 & on. This is unfair. I am glad I feel caught up to these events. ❤

I had the exact same logic as Nolan on Harry Style's casting. Everyone I know said he's gonna suck. I stated that I thought Heath Ledger would suck as Joker, so, let the man cook!!

P.S - I loved Ledger as an actor I just didn't think he'd make a good joker. So happy to be proved wrong
