as a non competitive dancers, competitive dancers and gymnasts are intimidating. their performances feel so different! you can see here: she’s smiling and satisfied with her performance in the last shots, but during the performance there’s such an intense focus and determination it’s radiating off the video. it different from non competitive and even different from lots of professionals in the fields. competition is just a whole other beast, and biles kills it!

Her athleticism and focus is undeniable. It's not difficult to see why so many people admire her skills and talent. I'm so proud that she represents the country I call home.

What I like about Simone is that she doesn't show her fear. Unlike other gymnasts, she doesn't hesitate or take a long pause before a skill that she's afraid of failing on. She does goes for it and doesn't let her face or body show her fear which makes her appear invincible.
