I still don't understand why gymnasts are never even considered when discussing the greatest athletes in the world. Gymnastics must be one of the most demanding sports around, one has to be not only physically fit, but also mentally resilient. You simply cannot have an off day any time you step onto the floor to compete.

I absolutely adore this young lady, Simone. I am old enough to be her grandmother and I can't help but tear up every time I see her perform. I give kudos to her teammates and her competition too.tho. They all are breathtaking!

The time she withdrew from competition in Tokyo 2020, I knew it was the right decision. She lost her bearings in the air with the mental block and that could be extremely dangerous for her at the vault or other performance because she could land head first to the ground. I am glad she is back in her best shape.

Remember back in the 80s, it here was a push for younger and younger gymnasts? At the 88 Olympics I remember them saying that you were old if you were 19 in gymnastics. Simone is 27! You go, girl … or lady! 😉☺️😂
