Her skills seem superhuman to me. The height of her jumps alone is freaking amazing. What an extraordinary person she is.

Probabil won’t be too popular for saying this but, she’s great but this is artistic gymnastics and NOT acrobatic gymnastics.

Her performance gives me the impression of circus acrobatics.

She moves like a muscular cyborg. Where’s the grace? Elegance? Artistic presence? The message transmitted? The coordination of the music with the moves?

Gymnastics is going down a bad path, allowing for gross errors such as stepping out of bounds, tripping and others but because of a high difficulty level those things don’t count anymore apparently. Execution doesn’t matter anymore and she’s basically a tank.

This is not gymnastics anymore.

Simone is incredible. She's in pain and is taking pressure off one of her foot but powering through. So happy she'll get a few days to recover.

It is amazing "what a body can do". I have never seen anything like this.

You know you are the GOAT when moves are named after you.

Super skills but this sport used to be also about how beautiful you execute gracious elements, not just jumps. The exercice could very well pass for mens class.

Show the judges' scores! Why would you not include that?

Omg thank god for the slow motion feature. Otherwise we would never have known what she did there 😮

She's a great gymnast that will remain in the gymnastics history.
However, I would have liked to see her working on her landings.

She really is very impressive, when she's in the air, she looks like she's flying. And the speed she gains just before that is absolutely incredible 👏

Personally, I just wish all the filler stuff was replaced by something else, for all the gymnasts. I understand there needs to be a bit of a break between the most difficult bits, but it's very obvious that they aren't dancers and it just takes away from the overall visual aesthetic.

Lol. Americans think she is better than Nadia Comaneci.

I really miss the elegance and artistry gymnasts had in earlier times, the Korbuts, Comanecis, Boginskayas and Khorkinas. This starts with perfectly stretched legs and feet especially on the floor and beam and ends with prefectly choreographed routines that combined artistry, classical dance and acrobatic elements and deserved this name. I prefer that any time over the sole power machines of today's gymnastics, packed with muscles like bodybuilders, which don't even seem to know the meaning of the word "artistry" anymore. Simone Biles is the living example of this kind of gymnast. I don't like watching her, it hurts in the eye. But it's not about her personally, it's a general problem in this sport - as Olga Korbut nailed it some years ago: "They have to find a new Olga to bring back beauty to gymnastics." In earlier days you could see that classical dance was a main pillar in the training of artistic gymnasts. Watching Simone Biles and other high ranking gymnasts of our times, there is nothing left of that. When it comes to expression, artistry, to move in tune with the music and tell a story - it's all gone. They do the moves and waves because it is required, not because they see them as a way of expression. They use them as a bridge to the next tempo-line and firework of jumps. But if I want to see acrobats, high jumps and salti - I'd rather attend a circus show not an artistic gymnastics competition.
