That's awesome!!! I love that you shared this. I live in Bellingham Washington and a lot in a neighborhood goes from 300, 000 on up and in no way compares to having a space like the one you've created on less $$$

Amen!! So glad you did this one!! Where I live land is $300k per tiny *lot*. Everything in your list is about 5-6 times more expensive here. 🤦

Broken down it looks a lot of cash but yes BUT when you look at what you have gotten for that money it’s great value!!
And not only that you have many treasures that you can’t put your cash towards including great memories and sweat equity!!

We built a similar size place in the UK : 1000 sq ft hi tech custom eco home on 11 acres : Total cost came to maybe $300k+
Due to the unusual build for the UK we had to pay hard cash for everything.

Not bad at all considering that 230k gets you a house but often no land and it definitely won't be a brand new house either. Looking into this myself

This is one of the only videos that actually cover this topic... What kind of permits did you need? Thank you for uploading! 😊

Glad you shared a realistic, brought to code cost. I’ve built a cabin and it’s not only $20k

so it took 300 K to build that whole entire house? Was that including all of the appliances? Also, did the land start out having electricity and all the other utilities or no? Do you have pictures of the inside? This is absolutely gorgeous. I am so so so wanting this!🥰🥰

Its just crazy how the house costs so much more than the land

That’s amazing. It gives me hope! I want to do the same in Ontario, Canada. I was initially budgeting $400k included land cost but people are telling me it’s going to cost at least $500k

I am in looking at a 7 acre property. I am going to reach out to you because I want the same thing. I am in a Amish community so hopefully I can get them to do my framing and drywall

You bought the land ages ago - the value now is WAY WAY higher than what you paid.

Wait what? $20k on a Well? So is it a well that is really deep and was bricked up from the bottom? or did you pay somebody $20k to come drill a hole to your underground water source? I’m having a hard time processing that amount to access water on your property. Mine is 300’ deep and it only cost me a couple grand to get someone to come drill that deep. I couldn’t get past 100’ with my equipment. I’m just baffled it cost that much. Wow.

We’ve got 2 log homes that are 3br 2bth each, both are bi-level, with metal roofs, and the main house has a 2 car garage, and both have concrete basements with block foundations. That still didn’t cost what you paid alone for just the home hit. We saved a lot by doing the work ourselves. I just couldn’t imagine spending that much. The big home is 28/2900 square feet & the smaller one is right at 1900 square feet. If I’m spending that much, I damn sure ain’t building it. It better be done and perfect when I want to live in it. Shew.
