So, it is Conexant Polaris. I have another device with the same chip, so I guess I can skip on this one :) I suppose, if capturing to DVD-Video, it comes out as interlaced? I am surprised to see 160x120 and 320x240 interlaced AVI formats, I thought these small resolutions were always progressive-scan. MP4 export options are all low frame rate, no 50p or 60p, need more modern software I guess. Thanks, a good review!

Quick tip: The reason why the record button on the capture card itself is not working is because you didn't use the EZ grabber software. You used Power director. I tried using the record button with Power director and it didn't work, but when I tried it with EZ grabber it worked surprisingly.

junk junk junk. works sometimes. very undependable. some times records just audio. most of the time captures NOTHING. not even a good paper weight
