It's surprising how unkind or dismissive people can be toward someone with mild cognitive impairment. And what cuts deepest is when that lack of support comes from your own family. Cheryl Freed understands how hurtful that can be. As a family coach at Kemper Cognitive Wellness, she says it doesn't have to be that way. When families talk openly about these issues and understand what each other are feeling and experiencing, they can get to a better place. That's what she shows us how to do in today's video.
