Why do people call it a fight?

Calling the engagement between Frieren and Aura a "fight" is a massive overstatement.
It's like taking a 13 year old girl with BPD, PMS and insomnia, armed with a butter knife, and then throwing her against a WW1 Canadian soldier armed with an axe and a shotgun while being high on Cocaine!

It wasn't a fight, cause that implies at least a chance for either to win.
It wasn't butchery, cause not enough effort was made on the elf's part.
Not even an execution, cause you need to give half a shit about the one getting axed.

Frienen is relaxed until she comes across demons since she not only hates them but is well aware of their true nature.

Instead of fixing Frienen, Himmel and the hero party actually came around to her way of thinking after occassions when they spared demons would inevitably lead to more innocent humans being killed.

All these things were explained, you just have to listen. Regarding the scene noted, she clearly says demons have no feelings and don't negotiate. A demon is a "kill on sight" type of enemy.

Her personality is very similar to Vash the Stampede from Trigun.

Frieren has barely ever changed. She just keeps having conflicting thoughts where she wants to help others, but she is afraid of failing/intruding.

Himmel just forcefully pulled back that helping-others trait of hers after it was dormant inside her for hundreds of years.

in later chapters, it will be explained that actually, it was after Himmel's death that she started to change

No body would be questioning her reaction to stop an imminent threat if the demon's appearance matched their personalities. Remember they were sent there to play on their looks and feigned manners. A psychological warfare advanced party to make the first strike, the actual army was waiting for the barrier to come down. Frieren spent years getting to know how they operated, even used those wraith things in the forest to teach her apprentice not to fall for such mind games.

...and, even her own former party had to see the trick in order to understand the tactic of hiding behind a pretty face/act of innocents! Before they knew that itself was an attack exclusively used upon human compassion.

You can't lump demons in this series with sapient beings like humans, dwarfs, or elves, as when demons die, they died like other monsters from this series: dissolved into mana.

Frieren hatred towards demons is like our hatred towards mosquitoes. Aura deserved it and you guys just got tricked by her appearance.

Tl;dr you can fix Frieren but not Aura.

Woah, I drowned in manga pages and let me tell ya, one enemy that will appear later on, is the exact opposite of Frieren, yet the same, like the flip side of a coin or the opposite pole of a magnet, and I'm down for him to appear, honestly, one of the best if not the best sociopath I've ever seen in fiction.
