Hi guys, thank you for all the comments on my last video. I love and respect each one even if we don’t agree.

I don’t want to be too negative in this video, I do think that this series has some pretty good stuff going on, and from now on, I am going to make an active effort to mention all the good stuff. Starting with… the main topic of this video, Batman V. Superman

I want to clarify something about the film.
1) At first, Snyder wanted to make Man of Steel 2, but Warner Bros. learned that Marvel and Disney were going to film "Civil War" and ordered to make a group crossover instead of a sequel.
2) According to early drafts of the script, Luthor did not work directly, all the dirty work had to be done by the Joker, and Lex remained in the shadows.
But the studio wanted to see the Joker in Suicide Squad, so they removed him from the script and put everything on Luthor, and also added Doomsday and Wonder Woman, who were not there at first.
3) Many moments were cut from the film, which were later included in the director’s version, where it was shown in more detail how Lois investigates Superman’s motive, as well as the fact that on Luthor’s order they killed the branded prisoners, so it was he who paid the woman who accused Superman of the death of her son and then on his she was killed by order.
4) Batman used firearms in a post-apocalyptic future where Darkseid actually won.
In such conditions, where there is a war of extermination and victory is needed at any cost, it is not up to moral principles.
Well, Bruce also killed Burton and Nolan, and for some reason everyone didn't care then, only now they started to get angry?

Batman does kill. He's killed in his first inception in comics.
He's killed plenty of times in other movie iterations.
Also, the Knightmare scene will be an emotionally detached batman, losing the arc he had at the end of BvS.. one devoid of hope at the end of the world. (Per Snyder)
Bringing in rules you learned with other iterations is an false equivalence in a story intentionally ignoring those conventions.
The long history is visually represented as far as Robin goes. He died at the hands of joker- then abandoned his rules.

The superman in Africa scene isn't about, did he murder.. but instead, him being involved in international affairs.

The intention is that the characters are off. The world isn't the same. All out previous knowledge need not apply fully.
This is why supermans parents don't have all the answers. Batman starts off as a broken violent force.. they are not true form- yet.
BvS is a superman who isn't superman yet, vs a batman who isn't batman anymore.
Superman accepts the role at the end before killing Doomsday- declaring earth his home as long as he has Lois.

superman saving Lois: an old tropes worked in to the plot as an exploitable weakness by Lex who knows everything. SUPERMAN WILL ALWAYS BE THERE FOR LOIS... In Africa or falling from a building. This was going to be the ultimate fall of the superman character when Lois is killed under Batman's watch- making him susceptible to dark sides control. This then swings us in to the Injustice influenced storyline.

Batman v Superman is one of the greatest superhero films to ever be made. Idiots cried because they were too stupid to understand what a well written superhero movie that respects and loves it's characters looks like. For people who call themselves "fans" they proved they know nothing about these characters. Anyone who actually does knows that superman wasn't just immediately accepted by earth, he was very much not trusted and this comes up even today in comics. That's why he's struggling throughout the movie, he doesn't know if being superman is even working or if he has a place on earth. That's why the ending matters so much and him sacrificing himself for humanity matters. Batman has killed in the comics, even in comics today. Crying because Zack showed us a batman who is lost in the darkness(which is just how batman is inevitably going to end up if he doesn't change) and then saved by Superman is pathetic. Batman only ever "kills"(he's really just less concerned with the lives of criminals) as a response. The whole point is to show how far he's fallen and how his actions are not good. We're not supposed to think his actions are good, that's the point. That's why when he's saved by superman he finally starts to come back to himself, he's batman again. That's why him gathering a team and having trust and faith in them in Justice League is so impactful. Because he's out of that darkness and now into the light. This movie is a true masterpiece, idiots can whine and cry all they like but it won't change anything.
