An absolutely excellent tip and not one I have heard anywhere else from even the best style advisers - "Don't buy bright colours in cheap fabrics". First class advice.

Both of my grandmothers and my mother were elegant, fashionable ladies with impeccable classic taste. I don't think I ever saw them wear jeans, athletic wear or sneakers. They often switched the buttons on items to brushed or matte metals that look expensive. They taught me to wear only natural fabrics such as silk, cotton, linen, wool, cashmere and leather. Such a valuable life lesson!

From dating advice to fashion and being a high quality woman, you’ve been like the cool big sis I always wished I had. Love how straightforward you are even when talking about controversial views. Thank God for Anna!

I had a wool/poly blend coat that I swapped out the plastic buttons for metal ones which were engraved with a generic shield/crest emblem. Instantly made the coat look like it was $100. People have asked where I got the coat and did not believe me when I told them it was $35 on clearance at Target, and that I spent 10 min sewing on $8 worth of buttons to upgrade the look. My next coat will be all wool, tea length and I'm going to sew it myself. That way I can get a perfectly tailored coat with all those high end tailoring details for just the cost of fabric and buttons.

I agree with all the points mentioned by Anna... In fact, I try to invest only in expensive fabrics like silk or linen even if it means buying less because they last long and now i have a better wardrobe where I don't have to think a lot before wearing anything. So it saves time too. Also, the hack that i use is to buy such quality clothes from sale, so i shop twice or thrice a year only but have a better collection.

Hi! I’m a modest-fashion wearer and I watch your videos all the time. I find the advise suitable for modest-fashion wearer too(no matter what your religious or cultural backgrounds may be). I think one the main key things I’ve implemented from you which instantly has made an immediate difference in my wardrobe has been about buttons, fabrics, colour choices. 🙌🏼

All great tips Anna. When my aunt, who was a Stunning beauty in the 40s thru 80s (now 96) shops with me online for patterns, her guideline for a no-go is when she says, "that pattern looks like curtains." :) She likes polka dots and stripes. We have the same taste, but I've still learned so much from her. Thanks again Anna.

It is taking me hours to get through this - why? Because I just stopped halfway through to sort out all the clothing in my wardrobe that doesn't fit me well that I've been holding on to for years! Thank you Anna! 😘 And I love Lilysilk! Thank you for partnering with them! 😍💕

Anna, I must tell you. I have been collecting your tips for quite some time now and I could not be more greatful for every single one! I have been slowly investing in garments that are linen and silk ect.. and on my recent trip I wore every single item and I felt so put together and energized. My favorite outfit was a blue linen dress with a belt around the waist. We were boating and even though I got splashed here and there I didn't leave the boat wet at all. We went right to dinner and I felt appropriately dressed for both occasions. Thanks Anna so much!

I started watching your videos in quarantine last year and now a lot of the fashion tips and hacks are often coming to me subconsciously.
So thank you Anna, for helping me start to level up my life and wardrobe!

I don’t think I will EVER understand why people wear sweatpants out in public. And the only time I wear a hoodie out of the house is when I’m sick, and even that I’m trying to get away from, because I think it makes me look messy. I love that you mentioned NECKLINES! I can’t wear some necklines, due in part to my bust size. But honestly, most of what I learned about fashion (before I found your channel) I learned from my grandmother. She was a very classy lady, and the older I’ve gotten, the more she’s become my role model in many ways! I’m sure she would be thrilled to see my journey to becoming more elegant. She taught me to sew, set a proper table, and gave me the very important advice of: “Don’t wear too much rouge.”

Anna you are absolutely incredible. A lot of people would be afraid to express such strong elegance as it can be quite intimidating. But not only do you do so confidently but you also help other women learn about elegance. You are truly amazing.

Thank you so much for killing the low rise! lol They were fine when we were 18 and a size two, but grown women with ANY body fat do NOT look classy in them. And THANK YOU for showing women in beautiful clothes who aren't rail thin!

Love your fashion tips and your efforts to us all be elegant ladies! I know my neckline has to be either a v neck or a scoop neck. Anything tight or high around my neck makes me feel as if I’m choking!! Can’t take that. You always look so elegant and put together.

My pet peeve in fashion: I am older (70) and was very overweight. I have recently lost a substantial amount of weight due to an illness, but it seems clothing manufacturers have the idea that older women don’t care how we look as long as it’s comfortable! Nothing could be farther from the truth! We still want to be and look stylish, refined, and beautiful!

Thank you so much for dissing that horrible horrible low waist trend! I was a teenager during the early 2000s where those cuts were the norm and I couldn’t wear them because they never flattered my body type and I thought there was something wrong with my body not them!

I’m so happy you talked about not wearing gym pants and such. I agree with you, dresses are more comfortable and look so much better.

As a tall gal with a long torso, I am so elated that high-waisted trousers are really in style right now.
