Having clean windows and opening them multiple times a day to let fresh air in gives me the feeling of a high end home ☺

This was to the point, without any useless chatter, which is very refreshing for YT. Many thanks.

I agree with most of the tips. Very clearly delivered. The only thing I would caution against is removing the labels on cleaning supplies. Those are typically kept hidden away, not on display. They provide important information and safety precautions. It can also be haphazard if the wrong cleaner is used on the wrong finish, which can cause damage, and it can also be dangerous for the person if they think the bottle contains vinegar but is actually bleach, etc. For this tip, I don't think it's worth the risk when it comes to cleaning supplies.

A nice fragrance (candles, diffuser) and plants in nice pots or baskets works well for me!

Antiques can add the look of old world luxury. One of a kind pieces such as a unique vase, especially if set on a pedestal will upscale a space.

I recently changed my cheap old fashioned door handles in my home, such a small change gives an elevated modern look to the whole space

Great tips! I would add organizing drawers and closets and areas that are not "visual" really helps. For example, people have way too much stuff, and there are a lot of reasons why people keep things. It takes real discipline to eliminate clothes you don't wear, and any number of things that accumulate. Having just what you need, and upgrading those things you do use to something of quality creates a good feeling in your home.

I stash clutter into natural weave baskets to deal with at a convenient time. Baskets add texture and warmth, and gathering bits and bobs for sorting when I can reduces my stress.

You had me at dimmer! We installed dimmers and LOVE them! One of my favorite ideas that we used in our home is under cabinet lighting in the kitchen. It really elevates our kitchen experience. We can adjust the light temperature from cool to warm so it always feels like an experience when using them. Window treatments are another idea that made a big difference in our home, too.

We love your videos!!! Thanks! A silly little thing that brings me happiness is using tissue box covers throughout the house. With simple white faux leather covers, they look a lot better! I love your encouragement to maintain what we have. You've said that in past videos, too, and it truly is so important even though it's much less fun than buying new things.

I love this video! I wouldn't recommend removing labels on chemicals. In an emergency you need to know to look up the MSDS forms, if a child ingests a chemical, and there are some cleaning chemicals that can be toxic if used together.

Good tips! The ones I swear by are:
- nice, matching towels. TKMaxx/TJMaxx sometimes have nice ones - I got some handsome hammam style ones.
- fat, nice bedding that all goes together (not matching but cohesive). I use the double duvet trick: replace fitted sheet with duvet (in cover), then layer the duvet you’ll sleep under, then blanket/coverlet/throw and pillows. It’s like sleeping in clouds and your bed looks tall and luxe.
- vintage rugs. Not always easy to find but worth snapping up if you see them. Printed ones always look cheap and a lot of the contemporary ones can look v mass market (because, well, they are), and most of us can’t afford truly high end, distinctive ones.
- good lighting (at multiple eye levels) makes a world of difference
- not being too restrictive about colour! A general palette is good, a strict colour scheme looks themed, dated and flat.

I use a metallic copper washi tape for labeling containers in the kitchen, I love the way it looks😊

Hi! I always like your video content. My idea to add today: Wash the windows! (I guess that goes along with your suggestion for cleaning & maintenance.)

Not sure if we look expensive or not, but went a bit rogue in that we met while working in a museum (she in ethnology, me in paleo). We love the museum/gallery look, so sought to emulate it by having furniture that is low and dark so that items of art and nature are highlighted. Saturated and large art pieces are part of the blend, as well as irreverent sculpture and modern Inuit pieces.

Would you do a video on curb appeal because if the 1st impression is cheap, tacky etc nothing inside is gonna change the 1st impression. Peeling paint, writing on door mats, fake plants, plant pots with dead plants, rooster sounding door bells, dirty windows...

Regarding taking the labels off of things, I once mixed what I thought was a cleaning solvent with water and washed my basement and first-story windows. What I did was waxed them.

Displaying some of the highlights of one's hobby collection on a designated area in the living space does make a difference to the look of the interior. It's also a good conversation starter during gatherings or when entertaining guests.😊
