#PleinAirpril Day 09 - Gouache Foliage ✶ #shorts

More foliage practice, still training my eye to see warm and cool tones and build up the complexity of leafy foliage. I love how easy it is to layer gouache when you get the consistency just right...but if you don't it's a nightmare 🤣 mixing greens is challenging which is why I love practicing foliage scenes like this. #gouache #painting

I've learned to watch these at normal speed, with the screen size at 150, then to slow it down and really enjoy it at speed 0.5.

I watch with amazement as you paint this detailed painting in its tiny circle while wearing your fingerless mittens!

How are you getting on with that small gouache pallet? I’ve bought myself one, fillies it up with gouache but not used it for plein air painting yet. Too cold for me out there. I live in the U.K.
