How to get Somber Smithing Stones 7 in Elden Ring

Two locations for three Somber Smithing Stones +7. The first is a path leading to two somber smithing stones 7 through the Royal Capital. The third one is in an area that requires you to progress halfway through Ranni's quest after you have placed the Carian Inverted Statue at the Study Hall where you will eventually acquire the Cursemark of Death. After that, go through the portal in Renna's Rise back at the 3 sisters castle. You will eventually be able to purchase 11 of these near the very end of the game if you acquire the Somber Miner's Bell Bearing (4) and offer them to the sisters at the roundtable.

For the first one, there is a door past the tree sentinel that is locked until you defeated 2 main bosses and activated their great runes

There are actually 3 7's. The other one is just pass the pipe where the second one is found. Kill the lobster from within the pipe and it'll be by the gravestone and the wall in front of you

There’s also another somberstone nearby the grace “nokstella eternal city”. Once you get up those stairs with alot of those black glob things you take the first left into a small room with a chest. Inside that chest is the somberstone 7.

I want to add that at this moment, just the way your character is facing here and is about to jump, before jumping, if you following the pipes in that direction your character's facing, I found a dead body near the corner of the area with a third Somber Smithing Stone 7. So, it may be worth it to try and kill the mobs around this area and loot all the bodies.

0:27 - slight correction. Defeating the tree sentinel is not the only thing limiting you getting this early. You also have to active 2 great runes to enter the capital.

I kinda like how later in the game you get higher level smithing stones before you get the lower level smithing stones you actually need. Thats the kind of game developer trolling that I can respect

now this is how you make a guide properly. Thanks! with the 3 dead bodies on the shrimp area actually gave 1 somber each, and one furthest dede body gave x2, 1 from the dung beetle, the mobs here surely hits so hard though. And are more tanky... 4:07 Lover Ahead :(

there's a somber smithing stone level 8 in the same tunnel system. Instead of dropping down to the ladder on the right, keep running straight past the two dudes and drop down in the pipes. Make your way through and it will be near a big dude that jumps down from a ladder.
