There's one more Somber 9 you can pick up in the Lake of Rot. From the second grace go back to the lake and towards the little isles with small obelisks. On each is a floor plate that creates more area to walk on. There's one close to the end that raises a whole lot of tall pillars and a second one that raises the platform you're standing on to get up there. It's lying on one of those pillars close to an enemy.

Thought I’d mention. From that last 9 you mention, look off the bridge right by the stone and you’ll see a merchant below, make your way around to that merchant, and look down the hill below him also, you will see a beatle, the has a somber +8

Kinda funny how big of a difference leveling up your weapon makes. I was in an area where I was struggling to kill the first guy I encounter after the grace site and then I upgraded my weapon like twice and I breezed right through the entire area.

in Caelid, west of the Farum Greatbridge site of grace, there's a beetle that also drops a somber 9. for the longest time i was confused where i got one before i even knew where i could locate a 7, apparently it was from there

Near the church of rot there is a giand skull (i think north)close to it is there is a horse mega jump spot, use it and land on the skull. There are several lvl7 and 1 lvl8 somber smith stone

In this game leveling up your weapon is just as crucial as leveling up your character. They want it to be very difficult for us our entire play through, that's why the developers put the best stones in the hardest content, which is actually backwards. I don't want to struggle throughout the game. I want to become powerful, and feel like I developed my character and achieved proficiency and power.
