Surface Laptop 15' with Snapdragon X Elite and Copilot - Full setup and First Look

The new Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 for 2024 is now available with the new Snapdragon X Elite Processor! This model comes with 16GB of memory and 512Gb of storage with a 15" touchscreen display. Want a 13" instead, they got one! I am going to do a full setup and first look at the new Surface device.

Ah man. So many people seem to miss this point. Click the battery in the bottom right then click the battery again in the pop up window (with the percent), then under power modes change it to best performance. Then run your benchmarks again

Just viewed this laptop at my Best Buy and the black color is what Space Black for Apple should've been. Gorgeous display even if it's not OLED and solid build quality.

It's really nice to know I'm not the only person who keeps the paper sleeve and everything else in the box...I still have my chargers and cables in my M2 air and M3 Pro... Also... Great video thanks for the content

That is a beautiful laptop. I had 3 Surface devices in the past, and I think the Surface line has always set the standard for the rest of the Windows laptop industry.

I wouldn’t say surface laptops come close to the build quality of apple. I know what you mean. But every time i click on the trackpad, the mouse moves a little somewhere because of the trackpad design. Also, the surface laptops are 4x more likely to break down within the first 2 years of use. Real stat by third party using verified numbers. Also, we all know the longevity of windows laptops and the resale value.

I purchased recently 13.8 inch version of this laptop with snapdragon X-Plus chip. Battery life is just awesome! And build quality is excellent. Dune color looks very nice in person. There is no fan noise and neither gets hot. Runs cool. There are no intake air vents on back side of the machine and hence it seems truly works as a lap-top. Display is excellent. Audio is loud, clear and soothing. One of the best PC hands down based on my experience using many machines so far with amazing form factor, long battery life, running cool and great experience with Display/Audio. One thing I wish I could have done was bought 15 inch one since due to 3:2 display ratio, 15 inch does not seem too big to carry and it can provide much larger screen for work and key spacing on keyboard would be less cramped.

Perhaps you should look at other Snapdragon/Copilot+ platforms. My fave so far is the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x 14.5" OLED Touchscreen Copilot+ PC Laptop (Snapdragon X Elite) - beats the Surface equivalent model in several ways.

Now that there are actually good Windows laptops out there the choice between Macbook and Surface laptop got so much harder. I've been thinking about buying a Macbook for so long because of that great battery life and now that Microsoft matches that I am not sure if Macbook is still worth the complexity of switching platforms.
