How To Make The Best Pumpkin Spice Simple Syrup

Pumpkin spice up your cocktails! 🎃

It’s also good in coffee, on pancakes, fruit, or even drink it over ice 😉.. put it on EVERYTHING!!

Ingredients:
• 1½ cup water
• 1½ cup light brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• ¼ cup pumpkin
Spices
• 1 tablespoon cinnamon
• ½ teaspoon ginger
• ½ teaspoon nutmeg
• ¼ teaspoon all spice
• ¼ teaspoon ground clove

You can also use 1½ tablespoons pumpkin spice.

Steps
1. Mix all spices and pumpkin puree in a large bowl.
2. In a sauce pan, mix water and sugar and bring to a simmer.
3. Add the pumpkin spice puree to the sauce pan and allow to simmer for 10-15 while occasionally stirring.
4. Remove from heat and let cool for 15 minutes.
5. Strain your syrup through a fine mesh strainer and store in you fridge for up to 30 days.
6. Enjoy!

Just made this recipe! It’s fantastic. The spice isn’t too strong, it’s not too sweet or overbearing yet the pumpkin flavor is strong. Perfect for a latte too (I just tried it)!

I suggest straining it into a large measuring cup so you can let it take it’s time. When it’s done straining, it will be easy to transfer it into the bottle. Thank you for sharing this recipe. If I’m being honest, I’ve never had pumpkin spice anything before…I’m gonna start with your recipe. 💞

Thank you its very good i love this recipe i made it twice one with less sugar and the other time with the same amount of sugar i loved the one with the same amounts of sugar i ended up adding more sugar 😅i tasted like pumpkins pie 🥧 😋

If you make the syrup as a 2:1 sugar:water ratio, its counter stable, and will last as long as it lasts.

Okay so maybe I'm dumb, but I can't find canned pumpkin purée in France, it's liké it's not a thing. So I do buy a whole pumpkin that I roast in the oven and I do a pumpkin pecan bourbon pie with the remaining amount of flesh 😂

Why not put the vanilla last (after the simmering) as usual? It loses part of the aroma if you boil it.. 😦

There’s such easier ways u can put the syrup in the bottle. For example pour some and when it’s blocked just move it with a spoon till there’s not more in the pot. Egyptians underhand me.
