Ima customer service rep for a health insurance company- these are the calls I get everyday- the main issue I have is that people think that because you pay for insurance that all services are free. That is a misconception. Next they don’t read what they are receiving. They open the letter and see the amount they may owe. Call us and assume it’s a bill. I have a hard time with empathy, like when to give it at which point in the call to show empathy. I totally agree with your assessment. Also in a call center you will take various calls for different departments. You will be trained for other departments with no increase in pay. So now you will be taking calls for member services, billing calls for consumer and group services, provider calls. This is something they don’t tell you

Been in the authorization intake department before and now at the members services, I could definitely say that your videos helped me tremendously in so many ways from day 1 of my bpo experience in a Healthcare account. agreed! I've handled telco acct for 6yrs.. though I am much more familiar with the telco in Ph, but handling telco customers are not that easy. I'm now part of a healthcare acct I'm a newbie here and still in training. I can say that healthcare acct is not an easy acct as well, because we talking about the benefits of members, what should pay during their hospitals/clinic visit, this means that we are talking about "life" here. one wrong move and it will ruin their trust in their insurance company, and there are a lot of process to have it corrected. unlike in telco, if we made mistake, we can just give credit, a free phone, or even upgrade their plan for a month. But i am grateful for this opportunity and exp.

Hi Rea, I just got hired with a health care treatment center to schedule appointments, take patient insurance info etc. The company will officially launch next month. I'm new to this industry having worked as an accountant (AR/AP) for more than 35 yrs. It's kinda funny how I to your website just by chance after my cursor somehow wondered across my desktop screen without me noticing and thought I had actually clicked on the video I was interested in. However, I am glad it turned out the way it did. Love the video so much I immediately subscribed and will be watching more. Keep up the good work!

Hi rea, im on my 3rd day of training now and later we're going to have the mock calls . I just find it really hard to cope up with my team they are all good 😭 i really feel like i am not doing great but this helps a lot since i was assigned to a healthcare account too. But im still nervous to speak and having panic atracks specially when voicing out opinions. But thanks for creating this channel rea this will help newbies in the industry. ❤️
