I think that a man who is never allowed to connect with his his primal nature is very much bound to become depressed.
We have lost our rites of passage, we have lost our sense of purpose within society, and we have lost the admiration/gratitude of our "tribe"/society, because male nature either gets demonized or is taken for granted.
Young men are now stuck in a society that frowns at everything that it used to reward men for. No wonder young men either feel lost or opt out.

It’s because men are wired to have a purpose and to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. In this highly individualistic society, there is no greater good to fight for. Everyone is competing against each other for literally everything.

Ugh because most humanities professors I’ve had are hardcore man hating feminists. As a woman myself I see how people teaching that umbrella of academics treat young men and I don’t blame them for avoiding it.
