The funniest part about the Mando blaster is the fact that there's a cheaper one coming out that was listed on Amazon that looks better and is just missing the electronics and the fancy box. So if you really want a nice enough prop blaster and you're a fan of the show (which, let's be honest, is what most people are going to buy it for over actual performance), just get that one instead.

Bobo was, indeed, correct, in that his honorable mention definitely wins... but for none of the very valid (and funny) complaints he did raise: it's that all of those things are true *and* the price tag was over $100. For *that*.

You have the Thundershot situation, as far as what went wrong with them internally that was making folks' blasters break, pretty much exactly backwards: those early reviewers giving it good press hadn't been sent prototype versions that wound up being superior to the finalized production version, because costs had been cut in the window between those prototypes being produced and the final design entering production, such that the final design broke where the prototypes did not... they were sent what was "supposed to be" the finalized production version of the blaster, that Buzz Bee thought were what was being assembled and shipped (that being the design they approved).

The ones initially on store shelves that were breaking, were actually the prototypes: they'd scrapped that version precisely because it broke in the way that ours started to once we got our hands on them, hence the redesign of the catch mechanism from the original sear over to the superior one that had been present in the early review copies - the factory responsible for the faulty sort hitting shelves had just incorrectly failed to switch to the final version when full production started, and kept making that initial prototype, hence the version we got sucking in the way that it did.

having gone through the little segment of you priming the thundershot (or whatever its called) you actualy have a defective one now im not sure if this is the one buzzbee sent you or if this is off the shelf but yeah the trigger moved when you primed it and well thats not a good sign with this blaster

Clarification: According to Buzz Bee, the defective Thundershots were a prototype that was never supposed to go into actual production, but the factory didn't receive the updated designs for some reason and the first run on shelves were the defective prototypes. New production Thundershots are the more robust design, and you can tell them apart if you buy it in person by priming it in the box and seeing if the trigger moves on its own. Not sure if I believe that story entirely but at least you can find the better ones if you try. But when the 6-SH exists, why bother?

Your POV on the thunder shot is slightly flawed. The “better” version is actually the full production model. The flawed one was actually the real prototype that somehow slipped out and was produced along with the production model. It was a weird situation that happened and we shouldn’t fully forgive Buzzbee for it but we still shouldn’t completely shun them
