Being retired I decided at last to start the hobby of tropical fish. Got my first 10 gallon tank 5 weeks ago and implemented the chemical-free ammonia cycle. While waiting for it to complete I decided to look on YouTube for information about my new hobby. Having found "Marks Aquatics", to be honest I haven't looked at any TV programmes since that moment. I think I must have undertaken a complete University course on tropical fish by simply watching Marks programs. Many thanks indeed, I also like the way you present you programmes. Too many others seem to want to stick their faces into the camera, or have other off-putting traits, like loud music etc.. Also being of that "age", I like the fact that the volume your presentations are always at the same level. Now I am off to start looking at more of your programmes which I have missed. Again, mant thanks.

Looking good. I started out with a 14 gallon bio cube. Have had the clowns no ow for 10 years. Having good luck with mushrooms and a toadstool leather. Not so much success with the zoa's butbi am working on it. Also managed to kill a pulsing zenia but still have the clowns. One day I may try to raise the eggs they keep laying

Looking lovely Mark 👍 Iv had a 500l marine tank with all the top gear and iv had a nano D&D 90l . Out of the two of them it is the 90 I enjoyed and miss the most . So much fun without the massive expense.

Nice little Midas Blenny or Bio Colour a Chalk Bass or a Flame Hawkfish, Hector’s Goby, Catalina Goby.
I hope you don’t go down the Clown Fish route.

Try a true True Peppermint Shrimp (Lysmata wurdemanni) for the Aptasia.

Ps I got the my prize the other day all good once again many thanks 👍🏻

Great information as always!
I have kept freshwater tanks for a few decades, mostly African Cichlids and an Oscar, in separate tanks ofcourse. Just got into a little 4 gallon freshwater planted Nano, no heater, no filter. Have been studying the Nano reef hobby and will purchase on of these Fluval Evo systems in the near future! Will you be putting a powerhead to increase water flow/current? Super cool setup. An inspiration for me to start! Subscribed as well!

OMG I would love a nano reef tank but already have a 3ft with land hermit crabs, a 60lt freshwater and 20lt freshwater. I saw the tank you have at my local and need to save up $400AUD.

I love this. How do you go about choosing corals? I’m guessing some are better than others for beginners/smaller tanks
