We have a whole host of SpaceX Starship updates to cover in today's episode! The biggest tests we saw over the past week included numerous Orbital Launch Mount venting tests, a (highest pressure ever) test of the water deluge system, a new Starlink v2 mission, Russia's Luna 25 crashes on the moon, Artemis II news, and much, much more! Enjoy!

Oh boy, can’t believe I was born right in time to witness the second space race to colonize the moon!

I'm torn between wanting the reusable hot-staging to work and wanting it to rip the booster a new one for a spectacular firework.

its always fascinating to watch how fast they make progress. there is some merit to applying the "fail faster" philosophy to engineering when lives are not on the line and iterations are fast and relatively inexpensive. you can learn a lot by watching things break and then figuring out what was wrong than spending years planning and studying just so something unforeseen happens.

I appreciate the increased time spent on NASA's observation of Earth.

6:50 I wonder if starlink 2.0 satellites are going to be ejected vertically instead of horizontally.

Makes sense if the vertical slot would be able to handle the vertical loads better

I really want to see the inside of the HLS. Considering only 2 astronauts will have to land i wonder what they'll do with all that extra room. Pretty sure there's apartments here on earth with less room for 2 people.

Think the tent removal to help with star factory expansion is probably also driven by the fact they have several complete/mostly complete test articles in place ready to test after the next launch test (obv any 'mishap' reporting to FAA would delay things as they need to list future mitigations - whatever they may be - as part of that). They really dont have a huge benefit of just pumping out more ships and boosters that then need storing somewhere etc.. so taking this time to really smash forward with the star factory build and remove old tents makes sense.

Tl;dr there is somewhat of a natural slowdown in making new ships and booster rings so makes sense to go whole hog and demolish the tents and low bay to allow speedier builing of the star factory.

Hey Matt i hope you read this comment because just wanted to ask you a question,
Can you please make a video listing all the mods you use in ksp1(not only the graphical mods but also the parts mods and gameplay mods) because I have watched some/a lot of your ksp1 video's but I always wonder what mods you use.

Thank you.

Starship launch site: The 3rd large water tank is a bit off because workers need to install flanges that would fit the water pipes. They can't do that unless the tank is moved to the side. Btw, the latest test did not include that tank - work on it is not done yet.
Also, not all gas tanks are connected to the system, but more of them are connected every week.

The digging around the leg could maybe be exploratory, to see how things held up with the newer foundation designs perhaps.

It just occurred to me that, with hot staging, the force that the Starship's engines exert on the booster during separation would reduce it's velocity by a not-insignificant amount.
This means that the booster won''t need as much propellant for it's return burn which means it could use that extra propellant to boost Starship for a little longer.
I hope that the flight engineers are taking this into consideration.
