The Sea Launch Platform is an ongoing concept that will likely see changes in the future as more and more details surface, but it gives you a good overview for a possible solution. Tell us how you liked it or if there’s anything you’d add in the comments!

Sea Launch Platform idea. The change I'd make is I think the tower would be open framework. Being shrouded would make it less likely to survive strong storms.

Regarding four concrete circles, I worked on a fuel company, fuel tanks have all conections above ground on their side wall, their steel bottons are laid just on top of concrete slabs with no oppenings on it to minimize leakeage.

I like your animation of the sea launch platform. My thinking is that the booster launch mount will be down in the center just above the water level. This would make it possible to make the tower structure shorter. And the seawater could suppress thrust and noise.

There are a lot of channels that do starship updates, but no one goes into such great detail as you do, and you have great editing as well. Keep up the good work!

Nick Henning’s digital graphics are awesome! They illustrate the and make clear what the heck SpaceX might be planning. And they’re beautiful to boot!

14:06 your reflector would put a lot of acoustic and heat stress on the vehicle. It makes more sense to channel the exhaust down into a water pit then out the sides. You need to shatter lots of water the absorb the energy then just pump and filter more for the next launch.

I like the floating pad concept/design! Very cool that probably very close to what SpaceX design will be.

Felix: One of your best! Personally, I think all "buildings" will be under the deck to provide maximum space and flexibility for take-off/landings. The launch/catch tower could also retract down under the deck. Also, I see more natural potential for flame diverter to run under the deck and out sides.

Your exhaust ramp would reflect and focus the sound energy back towards the rocket and destroy it in short order.

I agree with an earlier comment. A green Zinc chromate coating is used in aviation to stop oxidation and I think it is also used as a primer as well. So it could be the engine bell is simply coated with a primer coating to help protect the surface. This paint will last .0002367 seconds once the rocket is lit... :)

It is great that you are covering the Boca Chica and sea-launch facilities! That is where we will see the next dramatic aerospace progress.
