Resolve gives his TruthEar Hexa unboxing and first impressions. The popular TruthEar x Crinacle Zero was an IEM that matched Harman, which many consider to be objective perfection in audio, but if that's the case, where do they go from there? Find out if the Hexa is better than the Zero in this video.

Truthear Hexa is riiidiicuullooouus. If you had told me when I got into headphones back in 2015 that I could get something that sounds this good at this price, I wouldn't have believed you. But yes, truly, the Hexa is perhaps the *finest* sound reproduction device of any kind ever produced for under $100. I can not fault them in any way. They are 10/10 in my books. Flawless, punchy, detailed, beautifully musical presentation. Silicone and foam ear tips included. Decent quality cable. To say I recommend these is a massive understatement. Even at $250, these would be a good deal.

I bought a pair of these to complement my S12, and it's phenomenal. The Hexa feel so effortless in their presentation. And thanks to the treble spice of the S12, I don't find the Hexa fatiguing at all 😂

I don’t think I’ve EVER seen Resolve this excited about anything

I’ve been using the Hexa for the last 3 days now and I was too pleasantly shocked by just how great they sound. I EQ’d down some of the treble and gain region just a hair and now it’s a damn near perfect out and about set for me.

The only IEMs I’ve heard that are better than the Hexa: B2 Dusk, S8, Variations, Monarch (1 and 2), Andro 2020. But I’ve owned close to 50 IEMs over the last decade. The price/performance here is totally S tier.

I think another thing that isn’t highlighted enough is the quality of materials. It’s 3D printed with essentially with the same stuff as the Variations and has a good faceplate.

New owners: make sure you’re getting a good seal for sub bass, otherwise the set will sound kind of dead. I had to use smaller tips than normal.

Love this IEM. It has an overall natural presentation, with good treble extension. Beautiful aesthetically, rather comfortable; the matte black with smoked shells is a combo that really appeals to me.

Had these in my cart after the Super Reviews review, and Andrew's reaction pushed me over the finish line

I was pretty sure these were going to be my next IEM buy. I think I definitely will now

For me, using foam tips tames the treble Region just enough to take out the fatigue. Exceptional IEM but Bass and v-shape lovers beware… this is not for you. Perfect compliment to the Zero as far as tuning is concerned.

Yup, Incredible value. Love it when the boys at the headphone show hear the same things. helps us smaller reviewers get some other opinions on the same.

I recently purchased the hexa and I can say with all certainty that it was worth every penny.
Compared to my ER2SE, the hexa seems to have more textured bass and I can hear some more detail as well, definitely 5 stars!

Well I agree with every single word you said, at first listen I didn't like them much but I was just getting a bad seal as it lacked "life" then I tried out some double flange tips (very cheap ones I got from Amazon) and damn they changed like nigh and day, I have the Blessing 2 Dusk, the Kato, the S12, the Starfields, the Buds2 pro and the Sony XM4, and these are way better than the Starfields, compared to the Kato the mids and the treble are better in the Hexa, pretty close to the Blessing 2, I wish these had the bass of the S12 or the Kato's; the S12 have the mids way too recessed for my liking but they have a bass and the treble that are just top tier.
Now I use the Hexa even for sleeping!
As I said before, I like the Katos a bit more because of the "body" of the tuning but these are more precise in the mids and the treble, for the price they are unbeatable and in my opinion they sound like if they cost 3 times more.

Every time I hear, "...for the price", it gives me pause as to how good something really is. My cheapest iems are the Bose Soundtrue Ultras. Anyone have experience with them and can compare to the Hexa?

Also, how do these sound with Classic Rock, Rock, Metal, etc.?

After this review I'm really tempted to buy these and try them out.
Currently using Custom fitted IEMs above the 500 Euro range, but they lack in bass pretty hard on purpose.
My previous ones got to small for my ears as I got them pretty early, and they had more bass than my current ones.
Definitely gonna buy them with my next paycheck.

Great review.

The truth is you can have a stable of nice IEM’s, a DAC/ amplifier chain ( driven from your smartphone using your choice of music provider) for less than the cost of a mid tier headphone…and they’re only getting both better and cheaper.

Enjoyable review.
I bought these and enjoying them as part of a range of IEMs for different uses.

Any chance of a IEM ranking list?
I seemingly have a very similar ear canal where I struggle with the Zero's Harman, and find the Hexa a bit bright up top as you do, would love to see what else out there you find about perfect. Assume your topish position would be the Oracle?
