This has been going on for such a long time and you know what? As a born again Christian, I do not need to see this to know that Christ died for my sins. I do not need to see the shroud to know that I confessed my sins and asked Christ into my heart to be my Lord and Savior. Blessed are those who have not seen yet beleive. I was listening to a podcast about the shroud. They had a guest from Germany who studied the shroud and came to the conclusion the man in the shroud image was not dead at the time the image was made. There was a group of coroners who stated a dead person would not have bled as much as the man on the shroud. Allegedly abunch of coroners independently came to the same conclusion.
I worked for years in law enforcement. I had to investigate many deaths natural and unnatural. The blood on there is not an unusual amount. As blaching happens (the settling of blood due to gravity) you will see leakage. As the body starts decomposing, you will see bodily fluids seep out. The fact that the man on the cloth was scourged by a Roman whip and crucified would have raised his bulirubin levels extremely high. That causes the blood to stay red as it decomposes. The man's body seemed to be in a state of Rigor Mortis which is consistant with the timelines given in the bible. During Rigor the cody will go into the position it was in at time of death. The coroners tried to explain the image as body heat that chemically reacted to the linens and made the image. That makes zero sense.
I believe it is the burial shroud of Jesus Christ. The only theory I have heard that makes sense is a light enery emitting from the body that was for a millisecond many times brighter than the sun. It seemed to come from every cell. Every cell in the human body emits some light, so it makes sense. Three days in a tomb you would see rigor and there would be decomp happening. The shroud shows that. How many old tombs have they opened and seen this type of image? How many mummies have it? None, because besides those risen by Jesus he is the only peron in the world who rose from the dead by hos divine power.
I heard the Shroud is being put on public exibition next year. I hope to go see it. I know people only get about 30 seconds to look at it, but to see it with my own eyes is a bucket list dream. Here is proof Jesus was who he said he was. That and since the majority of his disiples all died as martyrs when they could have recanted tells a lot. Legend has that Peter asked to be crucified upside down as he didn't feel worthy to be crucified the same way as Jesus. What did they see that made them willing and ready to die for their belief? It is amazing.

I’ve been 4 ft. away from the Shroud for only a couple minutes. This was in 2015. Changed my life for the better. The Shroud has blood marks on the wrists, not the palms. Vilnius Jesus fits the bone structure. I choose to believe. It has a3 on the forehead. Jesus is citing the story of Jonah. Greatest Glory to God. Amen
