I attended an exhibition on the Shroud of Turin in a little church near Trinity College, Dublin, several decades ago (possibly 4 decades ago, if memory serves me well). There was a life size photograph of the shroud and the detail on it was remarkable. Pollen from plants that only grow in Israel were found embedded in the shroud. So many of the details were explained. I knew it was only a photograph of the shroud but everyone viewing it was quite simply speechless and awestruck. The presence of the Lord so emanated from that photograph - I simply don't have the words to describe what I tangibly felt. It was the same with everyone there. Even after we stepped outside the little church, people spoke in hushed whispers. The holiness of the Lord permeated that place. I've never experienced anything like that since and even recalling my memories of that exhibition evokes strong emotions in me. I believe the shroud is real but I've know the Lord for almost 6 decades, so have faith anyway.
