Correction : the Surface Pro's chassis is not anodized aluminum. It's magnesium.

$1500 for the SP7+ with low specs like that and another $200 for the accessories, I find that a tough recommendation? In the US that will get you a HP Spectre 16GB/1TB/i7 with OLED 2k/3k display! Really just for MS affiliated consumer/prosumers that want to show their love to MS?

The price is too ridiculously high with such mediocre specs as a Windows computer - Benstore is offering the Surface Pro 7 12.3" Tablet PC [i7-1065G7][16GB LPPDR4x][256GB SSD][Black Type Cover Bundle] for PHP84, 900.

Note, it comes bundled with the Type cover and has twice the RAM for just PHP10, 000+ more.

I had considered getting a Surface Pro, but with the advancement of iPad Pro for drawing with Procreate, Apple Pencil functions way better, and battery longevity, I just stopped dreaming of getting a Surface Pro for pro drawing works on-the-go. Since then, I had instead gotten a Razer Blade 13.3" with a NVidia 1660Ti graphics card for on the go video editing, CAD and full PC games, while also carrying the iPad Pro 12.9" for drawing.

So the Surface Pro is not as good in both realms, and the issue of battery as a tablet - I could still get hours more with the iPad without worry to plug in. I would get a Surface Pro as an extra device for convenience of one device to carry when I feel like it. But still, 256GB means you would be limited to the number of programs you would usually be using on a real laptop with storage expansion, I have to carry around a portable SSD and rely on cloud services. So, yeah, it caters to some people that prioritize portability and light work.

As the matter of the sturdiness of the material, the paint of my 2014 Surface 2 peeled off and exposed the magnesium alloy where the processor is located. You would need to skin the entire unit or get a protective shell.
