My R7 here in New Zealand detected Red Light live cameras as MRCD i was able to test against the ones that do actually work 24/7 and the known faulty ones like in Oteha Valley Road in Albany, Auckland, which is still dead.

Finally seeing basic radar detectors by Cobra, those other detectors he was talking about, make you go dizzy if your not up on the advanced detectors, people use the whole word, not initials...

Don't sleep on the Cobra detectors. My Walmart version did well on the highway many times. Decent range and tolerable false alarms. Its my back up to the 360 c.

Vortex- Great channel. By watching your reviews, I first bought a Radenso XP and loved it. Later I learn about MRCD and I live in Maryland and go to DC so I bought the Pro-M. No beuno. It would not verbally warn of ANY speed cams or red light cams, and Maryland and DC has A LOT. After this video, it is apparent that the Pro-M is buggy as heck and to me reliability is more important than any fancy features. Thanks again for your honest and detailed reviews.

On the contrary, the present time is the perfect time and an unprecedented time for radar detectors. Since there are fewer cars on the road, there has been a surge of people driving very fast. Police have responded with more speed traps.

Honestly people think that paying $400+ on a radar detector is outrageous and they don't need it. Till you get a $400+ ticket points and spend 3k on a lawyer 🤣🤣👀🤷🏻‍♂️

I got the i480, where I am they hidE in the woods !!! I'll say I like the detector. What worries me is hooking my phone up an giving away my position to the ones hiding in the woods . Lol 😂 it's low profile, has a better on / off switch with volume control it's saved me money LOTS OF MONEY'S!! My question is will the bear see my location through the app and what privacy do you get ? That's the only worry I have . Thanks for the review! And those are my 2 cents and questions .

Very happy with my V1Gen 2 .. 20+ year Valentine1 supporter and owner ! It’s a new classic, and hasn’t lost that feel at all .. go for it for those interested. You won’t be disappointed !

I have had Radar Detectors since they 1st came out all makes and models, and back then they were great! When they all started to get expensive but before GPS, the Valentine was the hands down best RD you could buy but it was $400. I loved mine, sent it off for updates ect.. It held its place for years. BUT now that almost every single car emits a frequency whether it be side car check, distance auto break feature, self park, or even drives/steers the car like the Tesla. The radars now have to try and filter those as well as all the highway sensors, TV station traffic cam radars, other RD's setting off RD's, and Stores setting off RD's a RD MUST have GPS and Im not sure if Mike V is held from adding it to the Valentine Legally or if he just doesn't think it needs it. But with all the falses out there I wont own a RD without GPS. In my opinion I want a radar that I can turn off X band completely, doesn't even report a alert until a speed over 35mph -40, has a GPS filter so I can choose to ignore areas, comes with GPS known red light and speed sensor locations, and filters out the narrow range so mostly radar guns will be all that it alerts on from long distances. Until Valentine can either stop all the local falses completely without using a GPS feature, or adds GPS the Valentine will not be in the top radar list and will NOT bring Premium Prices
