In this sewing room video I show my recent sewing pattern haul which consists of modern sewing patterns as well as vintage reproduction sewing patterns. I show my new fall fabrics as a small fall fabric haul and talk about my upcoming fall sewing plans and spook season sewing. I hope I can find the time to get to all of my new fabrics, sewing patterns and sewing plans but we will just have to see.

Hi there! It’s just refreshing to watch you😊 I’m not a sewer but would love to sew things. The only thing I’ve seen for my girls were culottes.I made like 85. I still have my sewing machine and someday I will be like you😊

The Vogue 1782 pattern would be great for your Christmas dress . I am encouraging you to give it a go. I'll be making one for my birthday dress next spring. BTW that pattern is an Alexander McQueen dupe from their spring 2020 collection.

The silver net with embroidered flower fabric would work on a pattern that has a lining that will feature that beautiful fabric!

Ohhhh, I really, REALLY like the Halloween floral/skull pattern fabric. I just finished making an Anne Adams vintage dress. It has an off-center button front with a scalloped edge. The vintage patterns are so much different from more recent ones. Can't wait to see what you make with the rust floral too. Jumpers for you and your daughter? Shortened with matching leggings if you don't have enough fabric for fuller length. Could you take your sewing machine with you on the 4 day work trip?

Hey Drew!

I'm excited to see the Halloween dress!
I like the style you chose to make it in

Also, can you tell me where you got the corduroy fabric from?
It's too cute and I want to make my niece a jumper for sure and maybe a little something for myself as well
Love your videos and I look forward to your next one! :)

Hi there! I’ve made a few of the vogue patterns including v9328(I think it will be a perfect witchy dress), v9182, and v8814. You’ll enjoy making them. I made them all early in my sewing journey and still wear them. I also have a large bust so I basically buy every cup sized pattern they release.

I've been going through a sewing burn out. I watch your videos to try and get me back into it. Slowly but surely I'll get there. Love the jacket you made! That blue color goes really well with that lip color.

The last Vogue pattern reminds me of my prom dress... from 1982. Be VERY careful which fabric you chose. The right fabric and it'll be amazing

I know what you mean after being away for a while. I just released a new video for the first time since January. Not a lot of comments at the moment, but it could happen later. Anyway. I would suggest that you not do the last Vogue pattern you showed until you have a few more techniques under your belt. When Vogue says a pattern is difficult they mean that it's damn near impossible for experienced stitchers. So I'd wait at least a year before trying to tackle it. Another pattern you got I have. It's a Vogue and I forget the number because I didn't write it down. But it's the one from 1954 with the fitted waist and the little bolero jacket. I haven't made it yet because I need to figure how to enlarge it. My size is way beyond the largest size Vogue sells. But when I do make it you can be sure I'll do a video about it. That brown fabric looks like it maybe a bottom weight rayon. Bottom weight just means (I think) that it's too heavy for a blouse but would be good for pants or a skirt. If it feels heavier than another fabric of the same yardage and drapes in soft folds but hangs straight down then it's bottom weight. And rayon fabric can sometimes feel cool to the touch. Bottom weight rayon can be very slippery, too, when sewing. It may want to slip and slide of your worktable and your sewing machine. Having your work table securely covered another fabric, like canvas, can help keep it from slipping around.

That V8999 is gorgeous but hopefully all those strips/panels will not drive you up the wall.
