My cobbler would chase me out with a hammer if I brought my boots in that filthy

Never knew just how complicated and involved the entire process really is! These guys are highly skilled craftsmen, and a rarity these days!

Truly incredible. I don't think I've ever seen anyone replace a VAMP before. That's crazy.
To me it says a lot about who Nick's is - they're a company that builds a boot so well, that even after destroying it, the owner would rather FIX IT, than buy a new pair, AND that Nick's stands behind their craftsman and their craftsmanship enough to make that repair. Love it 👍👍

I restore furniture for a living, re-upholstery, wooden furniture restoration & french polishing, so I understand how much work goes into restoring boot & shoes, great video👍

I enjoyed this restoration video! I was however a bit disappointed that I didn’t get to see anything done to the uppers to at least spiff them up a bit. I know the point of keeping them is to preserve their “broken in” status. But some kind of tcl is in order! Maybe at least a wipe on of carnauba cream or something to shine them up or give them that factory new leather smell. Great video overall with much skilled craftsmanship!

I’m impressed by the hard work and skills of these craftsmen. It was obviously the work of several different cobblers working over a period of several days. I’m not even sure that it was the same pair of boots all the way through. Having said that, it is still a very informative video on a topic that I previously knew nothing about. Congratulations to everyone involved.

I have never sent mine in that dirty, but have sent them in in really bad shape. I just figured it out and I have been searing Nick's boots for at least 25 years if not longer. I am a huge fan of Nick's Boots!!!

I’m interested to know what the benefit of rebuilding, and keeping so little of the original boot, as opposed to just buying new.

I was just talking to my dad about how you guys will rebuild your boots and then I stumble upon this video. I've been trying to let as many people know about Your guys boots. My builder pros have helped my over all lower body pain almost go away completely, The medium arch was the right choice in my case. Looking forward to my ND1 pair

Dear Nick & Team: Incredible skills & workmanship! Totally fascinating watching this complicated process done at such speed. I will have the utmost appreciation for the time & knowledge needed to produce every pair of shoes & boots I buy from this viewing forward. Just hope some kids watch this & want to become gifted cobbler-tradesmen like you guys.

I'm watching this breaking in my first pair of brand new Nick's! The smell of new leather is one of the best things in life!! Very glad I took the plunge on these bad boys!

This was just a pleasure to watch. Hats off to the fine craftsmen and women of Nick's. I want a pair even though I'm a nurse!😊

As a " Nick's Boots" owner, they will not replace the upper for a few reason, if it is a custom fit, the upper is specifically measured to your foot. Second, the upper has stretched to fit you. They can not just "replace" the whole boot. Third is the cost. To have them rebuilt costs 200 to 250, depending on the style of boot. Fourthly when you purchase a pair of boots like these, they will last you a life time if you take care of them properly. The pair of Nick's that I own have been resolved once and are due for a nother, typically they will last 6 to 8 years before needing a rebuild. But it also depends on what you do in them. The more you abuse them the faster they wear out.

The thickness of the leather is crazy and cherry on the cake: the Vibram sole.
Really toughened beauties.

This is absolutely impressive!! I've been doing quite a bit of research, and just seeing what goes into these boots, is something else. I've been reading reviews, to see if I could come across just 1 negative comment... Try as I may, I can not find a single negative thing, being said about these boots. The more I dig into these boots (Nicks), the more impressed I become
