30 year Red Wing user. Bought a pair and upper stitching came loose in 4 months. The local store (I didn't know they were franchises) offered me 50% off a new pair. I didn't think that was equitable on a 4 month old boot, but I said not a thing and accepted the deal. New pair had the rubber sole split side to side right on the ball of my foot in 5 months. I had very good reason to believe I'd not be treated equitably, so I emailed Red Wings. Did I mention, I was a 30+ year customer? No answer. No more soup for you, Red Wings.

Tuff toe is a necessity at my job for boots. You either use it, get boots that come with the reinforced rubber toe, or have your toes torn down to the safety cap. If you’re complaining about the look or say it’s unnecessary, then you’re not working in rough environments where your boots get shredded in 1 - 3 months

If you are in and out of the mud/gravel/and rocks I don't suggest covering down to the sole part as it will peel up after a week and need trimmed with a knife . If you apply this for factory setting workplace I believe that it would hold up great, Otherwise great video .

I'm a petroleum/ethanol hauler and this stuff is completely unaffected by gasoline, diesel and ethanol. I often clean the Tuff Toe covering with a spill towel after cleaning up some spillage. Worth the money, and then some.

I did this to an older pair of steel toe boots pretty worn with some paint on bed liner. Worked pretty good.

You can rub your finger across after 20 min to get rid off the gloss and make it a matte finish

Tuff toe/shoe goo saved my skatepark rollerskates. If you hit/rub the suede on cement enough times it’s only a matter of time til you bust through the toe box
