There needs to be a full background check on Santos now. Before anything else, I would like to know if George Santos is his real name and whether he was actually born in New York, what his actual age is and whether he is actually a U.S. citizen. Republicans won’t care that he lied. If he doesn’t meet the constitutional requirements for the position; 25+ and a U.S. citizen who has lived in the U.S. more than 7 years, it won’t matter how much republicans whine. If Santos doesn’t meet those qualifications, he is not eligible to work as a House Representative.

So let me understand this - a male from New York lied about his accomplishments, provided dubious financial information, ran as a Republican, got elected and will not take responsibility for his deceit - so many punch lives available ( Deja Vu, Presidential Material, Cease & Desist letter for copywrite infringement )
This really should not be a partisan issue . From what I understand while despicable it is not a criminal matter and it would be difficult to oust this person from taking the seat in the House . Both the American political parties should treat an elected person who engages in this level of deceit the same which is that he or she should not be part of the caucus, be treated as persona non grata, not receive any sort of assistance etc. . I could cut someone a little slack if there was a small amount of embellishment bur Santos made George Constanza look like a marine biologist .
