In this video men’s style, grooming, fitness and lifestyle expert, Aaron Marino of IAmAlphaM, AaronMarino, Pete & Pedro , Ollie , and ENEMY is presenting some style guidelines about how to wear men’s short. First, know that Alpha shaves his legs. Also, he’s insecure about his calves — one is bigger than the other due to an injury.

How to Stylishly Wear Shorts

1. Nail the length — balance your body which is 1-3 inches of skin showing above the knee length. You can cuff or have them hemmed at the tailor.

2. Nail the fit — which includes the appropriate length and tailored length.

3. Never wear socks that show — wearing no-show socks are critical. Alpha uses GAP which has silicon and covers enough of the top.

4. Don’t be afraid to wear a little color — add variety to your wardrobe. Experiment and play around with fun patterns and colors.

5. If you are going with a colorful patterned and colorful shorts, wear subtle shirt and shoes.

I absolutely hate those little bitty shorts. The pair on 2:42 looks good. It looks good but also gives the "idc what you think" confident look.
Idk it's up to you guys on what you like. I'm not a fan of golf shorts.

Disagree with the sock rule, it all depends on the footwear and someone's style. If you're going more preppy like wearing a button up with shorts, by all means, no socks leather footwear. Someone like myself who dresses more casual and streetweary, the right crew sock makes an outfit alot better (and makes your calves look a bit better)

One thing I love about being in Thailand is you can wear a stripped shirt with polkadot shorts and no one see's a problem with it. You can wear whatever you want and no one gives a damn. Fashion becomes what is tolerant by a community.

There really aren't any hard and fast rules about shorts. That's where you really just have to try on several different styles and cuts and go what looks good on you. Take an armload of different cuts and styles into the dressing room and look at yourself objectively. Don't worry. You'll spontaneously smile when you know what you're wearing makes you look good.
