I know there's been a lot of vids and talk about Jayson Tatum so apologies if youre sick of it lol. I just wanted to make a more objective video because I feel like everyone is either calling him overrated, a bum or a fraud or they're saying he should've been the star of team USA.

Sitting Tatum was the right choice. That team was too stacked. He wasn't the leader, he was a role player on that team, and his role included some time on the bench. It's not complicated and your ego for Tatum is irrelevant. Team USA wanted gold and this is how you get gold.

I agree. Jayson “38% from the Field” Tatum is one of the more overrated players in this league. He wasn’t as important in this Olympics as his fanboys make him out to be.

Tatum was cold and other people were able to fill his role, that's it. That's the beauty of this team. And with such a short amount of time, you typically have to go with whos hot. Which is why KD got thrown back into the mix, he went OFF in his first game back. There could've been an argument made that because Steph wasn't hot, he could've sat more... but boy is everyone glad now that he didn't get benched. Plus he's proven himself more than Tatum.

He was in a slump, can happen to anyone, and so he fell out of the rotation behind all-time elite teammates. I guess the big daily sports talkers have to make noise about something, but to me there's basically no story. And Tatum will be back.

It is genuinely depressing that most people choose to make this more complicated than it really is, just for the drama. I mean, I enjoy drama as much as anyone, but the talking points of all of this is just absurd. Tatum's a great player, who is much more used to being the focal point and main ball handler / playmaker of an offense. While he's a good shooter, he isn't a better shooter, especially spot ups and the like, compared to someone like Book, or event Ant. And when you have Lebron as the main guy running the offense, i don't really know how anyone can expect for Tatum to get a ton of minutes. Are we seriously saying he deserves to get more minutes just because?? The biggest problem that plagued USA basketball during the down years was exactly that - giving minutes based on names and reputations, versus making actual basketball decisions that put fit on the forefront.

idk why but jayson tatum make me cringe all the d*nm time when i see the guy, when he mimic legends celebration when he won, when he said hes as "unstoppable" as anyone he thinks hes this superstar, but then his points and efficiency goes down in the playoffs and olympics, not to mention his expression when he lost finals mvp to JB, and now he posted "we will avenge jayson tatum" big ego when he cant perform as well. JT is a good star, but hes not what he thinks he is, and hes not the MAN, the man is Luka, Jokic, Lebron, Kawhi, Steph, Giannis even ANT, hes not on their caliber sorry
