The reason this is a debate, is because Tatum is notoriously known for being one of the better regular season players, while being too streaky in the playoffs. One game he’s hot and the next he’s cold. Trae is decent in the regular season, but one of the most underrated playoff performers in the NBA. Single handedly carried hawks to the conference finals, since then, it’s been him holding it together. It’s really not far fetched to compare and debate which you’d rather have. But Tatum is gonna get you to the playoffs and as one mentioned, 2 way player is more valuable even in the moments you aren’t performing well. Give me Tatum.

This really isn't close. Trae has been statistically on ball defender in the league. He is an average team defender. But in the playoffs teams hunt bad defenders and run the same play over and over
