Imagine being up 2-0 in the finals and being called a fraud. Bro can’t catch a break

U compared 33 year old Lebron and 34 year old Curry to 25 year old Tatum lolol

That Miami game 7 statistic is just so unfair to claim as a negative given he was basically done after the injury in the first quarter - like please.

Bro all this Celtics and Boston hate is coming from Docic fanboys. It was almost consensus that the Mavs were gonna win cuz Luka and Kyrie “got that dawg in em” but now that they can’t finish the job they’re trying to diminish and downplay the Celtics as much as possible. The finals aren’t even over and I’ve already heard a million excuses for Doncic and the mavs. And don’t get me started on Luka being iced up before game 2 😂 if it was Lebron or Kd yall would say he’s faking and making excuses. I like Luka too and think he’s the next face of the league. But yall also gotta hold him to the same standards and guys like Lebron, Kd, and Curry

Casual basketball fans think he’s not playing good, basketball fans know he doing exactly what his team needs him to do

JT is an enigma, I wonder if it’s a confidence thing for him. He really does settle a lot for his side step 3, but when his shooting isn’t going in. He doesn’t really drive into the paint as much as he should. His build is pretty sturdy so I don’t know why he wouldn’t try to bully his smaller match ups.

I'd rather have JT then D Book. Js...

Then Westbrook, pg, Embiid, melo, they are all not superstars, right? Why is jt getting held to a higher standard?

Damn! This is one of most asinine take that I have heard, I mean... Think about it, Tatum played over 100 play-off games in his career till now and mind you he's only 26. Let that sink in, Vince Carter played for almost 20 seasons and he never made it past 100 career play-off games. He's been to the Finals twice now, Conference Finals four times and never missed the playoffs in his career. And, it's not like he haven't showed up in the play-off games ever - he holds the record for most points in a Game 7, 51 which he dropped last year in the Philly series and not to forget the 47 points he had in Milwaukee... That is him showing out or up however you call it.

I completely agree that the Cs roster is stacked but then again to say he never shows up or didn't play to the hype or expectations of the insurmountable degree that the media folks and the kids these days hold him to. Michael Jordan never made it past the second round till the great Eastern conference of those yesteryear collapsed... Bird was hurt, those Bucks decimated, Pistons almost have gotten old. Players that have won before 27 years old, they all did have a first ballot HoFer in their team who is already past 27... Magic had Kareem, Kobe had Shaq, Duncan had Robinson and even the 1971 title run that Kareem won had the Big O in his roster. Now, coming to Tatum, has he ever played with a first ballot HoFer? Brown is more like a year older than him but people do argue that he didn't even belong in the top 20 players in the league. One true potential HoFer he played with is Kyrie and we all know how that went. So, quote or rephrase JT and Barkley here, Whenever he tries to score or force his way out to score in the times past, people say he's trying too much and now when he limits his forcing habits in order to impact the game otherwise... People here are whining about his scoring impact. Smh! I mean, even the last Indy series - He averaged about 30.3 and plus 10.3 boards with 6.3 dimes. Yeah, Brown won the MVP but it's now like he haven't won the Conference Finals MVP before. What more do you want him to do? And, do you people really watch the game or rather go off on box score and make up how played the game? I mean, did you people see how the Mavs were covering him in this series...

It’s crazy how the Celtics as a team have improved their reputation after these first 2 games while their star player has only hurt his

Since the start of the Indy series he’s averaging 25 9 rebs 6 asts
I know so far this series he’s not shooting the ball that great but he’s doing the little things making the right pass type shit playing good defense.

He’s a really good player, but not a superstar. In my opinion, he’s a #2 on a championship team.

Tatum is a legend everyone hating cuz they jealous. He should change his jersey from Tatum to “He Hate Me”

Jayson is just doing what he can but so far in the finals he’s averaging decent stats and could still maybe get fmvp if he starts playing better in the next games but his playmaking and defense have been good in the series so far.

Does anyone think they got a 3-1 lead on mavs without him? I’m curious?

Tatum has just flat out been horrible. I don’t even know if I consider him a star anymore and that’s coming from a Celtics fan, and Tatum is my favorite player. Jaylen Brown has elevated his game in the playoffs Tatum has just taken a step back something’s just not right, where’s the Tatum that put up 46 vs Milwaukee or the Tatum that sent the Sixers home with a 50 ball. I don’t care that oh he’s assisting he’s doing this he’s doing that he’s passing up open shots. You can’t be a first team all NBA player and not put the ball in the hoop and score 18 a game I’m sorry, I don’t care they have all these weapons if he’s anywhere else other than Boston this year and he’s supposed to be the man I’m sorry that team is going home in the first round 4-0 sweep. He also doesn’t have that dog in him he just is soft and weak he’s too nice too idk how to put it he don’t have that Kobe, Jordan, Lebron mentality. You can see it in those guys face when they get angry and they just explode and take over a game the switch flips he doesn’t have it I’m sorry I love Tatum but man coach K may have been right calling him a soft kid from St. Louis.

Tatum is struggling from the field. However he is still rebounding making great passes and defending at a high level. He does get double and triple teamed. Every time he has the ball. The offense is running through him. This is the best team he's been on in 2022. The Celtics didn't have a true point guard like Jrue holiday. Marcus smart was a great defender but a poor ball handler and shooter. Tatum will erupt in one or both of these games in Dallas.

I think u just hate Tatum man, sure he can be unreliable but his defense and everything else can make up for it, and not mentioning the fact Tatum lit up in the 4th for the game 6 against Philly too
