1) don't bring friends!!!
2) be gentlemen, but not overly.
3) go somewhere fun, and not formal. casual.
4) don't get the ribs.
5) conversation; no ex, sex, and super personal stories. let her talk. listen to her.
6) find common ground, movies, music.
7) NO PHONES!!!!
8) be honest. don't lie.
9) awkward tension: if he was wants to pay, just fulfill his ego.
10) don't expect a kiss on the first date. but if it happens, enjoy.

I just had my first date, and he took me to a ballet. In the video it says not to go formal, but honestly it was amazing. Getting really dressed up and watching the ballet was... yeah amazing ^.^ He was a gentleman all night, and basically it was the best day ever c:

At the end of my first date the guy walked me to my door and tried to kiss me. I kind of shied away and he called me out on it, saying, "What I don't even get a kiss?"
Awkward.
So I felt like I had to kiss him and I did. Awkwardly because it wasn't naturally happening.
Then when I got inside I found out my mom was watching from the window telling my aunt everything that was happening on the phone.

We saw a scary movie on a first date. A when I really scary part came I tried to put my head on his shoulder but he just looked at me like " what are you doing ?" Needless to say there wasn't a second date.

Oh my gosh, Connor! I love that you said no phones on dates. It's hard to believe that people actually do not consider that as a turn-off. When I was a waitress, I use to see couples on their phones ALL the time. I'm like, "Why are you even together if your phone is more interesting than your date??"

I've actually recently had my first first date (Kind of. The reason I say kind of was because we both liked each other but we never said it was a date. It was just kind of friendly at first but it did turn into a date.) He was really sweet and he did offer to pay for my movie ticket and I said no you don't have to he asked are you sure and I said yes and he asked me if I was sure again and I said yes and he said ok. Then we watched the movie. I said I was cold and he offered me his sweatshirt but I said no. We were sitting normally for most of the movie but about 2/3 of the way through he put his elbow up on the seat, a couple minutes later around the back of my seat but not around me, then eventually I laid my head on his shoulder and he did put his arm around me. When the movie finished we just sat there cuddling and he kissed my forehead. I looked up at him freaking out a little because I liked him and could tell he wanted to kiss me and I wanted to kiss him too but it would have been my first kiss and I was afraid I was going to be bad. Then he brushed my hair behind my ear and I don't remember if I leaned in or he did or if it was just mutual but we kissed and it was awesome. :D Eventually we did get up and leave the theatre and we ended up standing outside talking for a while. It was cold outside and I was shivering so when he offered me his jacket I did accept this time. We talked for quite a while and then we went home.
