mastered all sub bosses and after countess times starting over again and dying hundreds of times, and finally got to king dice, I die immediately on the first card. fuck my life

This is the only boss that completely broke me enough that I had to look for the tutorial

If you hit “START OVER”, don’t rage quit. Because now all the squares you hit last time are free spaces. Just land on them again, lining the die up in a way that you hit other free spaces/extra hearts if you miss your intended roll.

Okay, I just realized something and wanted to share. If you play with the coffee charm to load up quickly on powerups, king dice counts as a boss fight, even if you are not fighting yet. So, between other boss games you can wait and get all 5 cards max.

I just find the parrying super unreliable which makes it frustrating

EVERYONE: If you have the invisible dash you can wait til the hand appears and then dash through the hand and the first card. You'll never get damage this way and don't have to rely on probabilities.

as soon as you said "run to either side of the screen - you'll have a 50% chance of skipping the card parrying" my mouth dropped. you're a godsend! still working on getting enough damage but now all the lead up seems so much less like faff when i'm not almost insta-killed when i get to king dice

This boss is genuinely unfair. forcing you to fight tons of fights with only having with 3 HP, then parrying over his cards barely works because you have to parry at a very specific position on the card otherwise, its not long enough to parry the next card.

Combining this method, some of the comments and some of my own, I've beaten him: a few tips:
- avoid the most annoying bosses (1 & 4 )
- if you need to roll 1, insta parry the dice when standing underneath it
- the roundabout weapon is very useful (fe boss 2, 3, 5, 7)
- the chaser is useful if you still have the dreadful boss 4 + in the last fight, just aim up and shoot/jump to get some hits, then switch sides (+ shoot him in the face with your other weapon) like the method shown in the video.
- smoke bomb is very helpful in almost all these fights
- I had the invincibility super equiped, but didn't really need it. It can be helpful as a last resort

I would recommend using chaser for the King Dice boss fight as you can consistently get hits on him, the DPS isn't great but it beats not being able to shoot him half the time

Using the sugar power up thingy is a godsend in this match, it’s so easy to parry the dice and get the number u want, allowing u to get extra health and such. Also it’s not a pain in the ass if u hit the start over because u can easily come back.

Beside what's in the video, there are two vital tricks to win:
- use the chaser for the whole fight, once in the corner jump and shoot above, in this way you'll hit the boss while in the corner
- always keep an invincibility super available (before the fight): it will save your life if you go on the wrong side at the beginning or when dice boss switch hands

Use the chaser (green shot) and jump up and shoot while behind the hand. You can deal damage to him like that.

I was stuck on this dude for some time (since my jump n parry skills suck), so I decided to do the following - master the dice pick, try to land only the easy bosses (looking at u, 8ball) in order to save as many hearts as possible. Also, have temp invincibility as ur super power. When King's fight starts, I used the spread gun (red, inflicting a lot of damage) to hit him nonstop. When first cards reach me, I turn on invincibility and continue hitting him till they pass. Then keep hitting the guy and ignore the next set of cards, let them hit u a couple times as long as u have enough hearts. If u continue hitting him all this time, these two waves of cards are everything u will have to endure, u should take him down before the third wave comes. Worked for me.

If you’re on square 9 on the boss rush:
The dice spins (paradoxically) as such: 1, 3, 2, 1, 3, etc. (usually at this point). Your next 3 spaces should be FREE, START OVER, and FINALE. Thus, aim for the 1. If you’re accurate, you land on FREE. If you’re not, you hit the 3 and land on FINALE. If you aim for 3 you run the risk of hitting 2.

Okay I’m back. Did this trick and finally beat king dice. Holy shit years of trying and it took me 13 minutes to do it with this trick. Even had to parry a few times. Not to bad but doing it for the whole fight would be exhausting. Thanks homie. Now to find your how to beat the devil video and do that.
