I love how they're using a translator when we all know Putin is fluent in English. It's about sending a message. If people don't bother to learn your language, then you don't need to show you know theirs.

Love or loathe Putin, or anything in between, it is somewhat refreshing to see a politician actually answer questions, any questions directly, and intelligently explain the answers he gives. We haven’t seen politicians as intelligent or able to give straight answers in the west in decades.
