As a black woman. WHO CARES! We don't own any hairstyle. Let people people live and do what they want. we've been wearing weaves for years with long straight black hair down to our bottom. We look like Pocahontas...let people live.

As an African, born and raised in Africa that has never left the continent, I hereby give everyone permission to style their hair however they want. If you want an “ African” braid (whatever that means) please know that you have Africa’s blessings. The whole village was consulted and they agree
As for the African American … (emphasis on American) they do not own these styles and can not claim they are their’s nor can they dictate who gets them.
Hop on a plane to any corner of Africa and no one will EVER turn you down to style your hair. Hair is just hair. We too busy living to care that Samantha has cornrows.. go off Samantha !!maybe get a color fade next time !!

As a Black American Woman, I do not care about what anyone wears as long there isn't any mockery behind it. Peace.

I think we need to move from cultural APPROPRIATION to cultural appreciation.

I'm Korean. My Best friend often spends Korean holidays with me so I feel less lonely. People on my social media began scolding her when she wore a Hanbok. And after a while I found out about it. I was angry at them. But I didn't understand why they cared so much. Cultures are not owned. They are shared and experienced by anyone who wants to learn how to.

As a 50-year-old multiracial person, seeing young people giving these passionate separatist arguments is really disturbing.

Sis culture is meant to be shared. That's how we learn to appreciate and accept everyone. Your telling everyone to get in a box and that's really unfortunate

In 5th grade, all the white girls in the class loved for the black girls to practice braiding skills on their hair. We would braid cool styles for them that their mothers didn’t know how to do. We would have their hair hooked up! And we were all friends❤. They were showing APPRECIATION.

As an African woman specifically Nigerian, I want to say EVERY WOMAN is allowed to braid her hair as she so desires and NOBODY has any right to prevent you from doing that. We Africans have more pressing issues than hair wahala, abeg una nor dey tire for all these hair yanings.
